I LOVE the new effects, especially the switch from normal to purple contrast on John after a white screen in part b. Amazing! Also, the squares on Marcie and Cole. It gives the whole opening a more cohesive feel, like the old shots just have different effects than the other ones.
I think the reason this update is the best is because everyone is next to someone that makes sense. No one is next to someone with even weak connections, with the possible exception of Layla.
i think that they are going to have to update the opening again because Tea is coming back this week so it may take a while before she will be able to be in the opening credits
I think they will update Todd soon, since he's got the scar back on his face and hasn't had his hair that long in a while. Nora definitely needs an update. Personally don't like Markko's shot, and he's gotten a haircut too, so a new shot would do him justice. So I vote Todd, Nora, Markko, and Jessica for new shots. Sarah will be out and maybe we'll get Vanessa/Lola. Didn't like the footage they chose for Marcie. SO CLOSE UP! But love this update, so many great changes/additions!
Sarah is leaving soon, but she's not gone yet. I like Talia's placement, and they only put her and Antonio there to give Layla her very loose connections to her and Sarah. I agree about Lindsay and Nora, but Nora needs a new shot more than anyone.
They have two versions to better showcase the large cast. Believe it or not, they used to have a different openings for each day of the week. Imagine that!
Oh, and how silly is Rex's first shot in version A? I love it, though. :) Isn't it weird none of his shots are the same and he gets to have a change of costume? Wasn't Viki the only one that had that before they ditched her second shot? Also, I can't find one good reason that Gigi needs a new shot. Anyone? I like her clothes in the other one better anyway.
Yes, I LOVE the new logos. I wish there were more in version one though, to make it more consistent. Did you notice the new one at the very end when the logo appears, on the bottom? It's easy to miss, but it was superimposed.
That's slightly annoying, since it's her only shot. But it's kind of like she's looking between Todd and Cole, which is great. And can someone tell me why Starr needs another new shot? Her last one was when she was 14 1/2 and she does not look that different, lol. I suppose it's cause her co-stars are much older than her.
First off, what is Shane pointing at? Secondly, Brandon Buddy really needs a newer update. He looks really young in that one since it's a couple of years old now.
LOL. I think it's ok. Besides, she looks better with dark hair and obviously she's not going back if they changed her headshot. Also, it gets us away from remembering the shot of hers with Nathanial.

I agree, I don't think Natalie needs to be in both versions. Why do they have her next to John in both versions? Are we gonna see a redux of John and Natalie?
why are rex and natalie in both? kinda unnecessary, there are bigger characters than them. i hate gigi's new shot but oh well. yah vanessa at least should be in here, she'll probably replace sarah once she leaves. but lindsay hasn't been on for months. it's like when they kept nash in the theme song after he died. just weird.
