I have just returned home from Lough Corrib, (very sad) I think you did the right thing in calling it a day early, we got caught in a Monsoon on Corrib it was unbelievable it took two days to dry all the gear. Great watch Vincent. Yes, the weather is very strange at the moment. I've just come back from Scotland totally fishless! There just wasn't many Salmon about. The Dam decided to just give us a trickle of water which never helps and it was really sunny. My lass was pleased though as she enjoyed the nice weather😂. Is that lake you fish now your main lake you fish. I'm presuming there isn't a boat on Waterville any more?! That place looks lovely and the boat looks great! I'm constantly battling with just finding time to get out fishing. I'm always getting told "you should have been here yesterday". Hopefully one day I'll be the one saying that! Take care.👍
Hi my friend. The boats are still in waterville but its time to try new places. This new lake will deliver great fishing once i crack it. I'll have to put my fish finder on to get to know the depths and hot spots it takes time to get to know a lake but i believe this lake will yield rewards if i put the effort in. I believe there is good big fish in it that won't take a fly maybe a daddy or a real minnow. Plus it's only an hours drive from my house waterville is a three hour drive. Plus I'm saving on hiring a boat and paying membership of waterville it's all win win win. Time will tell. Its also a lovely beach to camp on for a night. It has salmon and seatrout that run into the lake but they are very scarce indeed. Best of luck in the future.

In Ireland it's usually September before the mackerel fishing gets good. USUALLY. I be down in cobh most days and if i see mackerel around I'll be out like a shot. I have an empty freezer.

Living The Dream Vince . It’s a special lake no doubt. Have a drift over the spit by the little steam that flows into up from the beach . Big hole there always holds a good trout or two. The cookery channel is up next 😂🇮🇪👌Atb Tony

Hi my friend great to hear from you the engine is a 5 hp I'm still only breaking it in. I can't go above half throttle until i do two hours of driving with it. That will take me the rest of the season. Half throttle is just perfect for me I'm used to rowing down there 😂😂😂😂😂
Vince fantastic with the boat and engine you couldn’t be in a better place. Heaven! As one of your subscribers I said to you before throw out a daddy long legs, see wat happens, works for me with the bibio also,. Believe it or not where your boat is moored is a good spot where the stream meets the lake. Tight lines 🎣🎣

The man i bought the engine from said it can be stored three ways in the boot of the car on either side or on the handle. It doesn't leak its in my boot and it's full of petrol and even on a hot day there isn't even a sniff of petrol. Not a sniff. I'm amazed. Love it.
It takes many years to get to know a lake where to fish under different conditions different times of the year etc etc. Looking forward to learning all about that lake. 😊
