Haaaaha...just been trying to find music school for all my five children...I see us like this in a few yrs to come, glorifying God together. This is glorious.
Wow. Black men and their Sons/Nephews loving and laughing together. Well spoken, polite, humble, faith-centered, and highly talented. You don't see this on youtube.com (or Worldstar) too often. Much respect, keep it up.
Powerful way of bonding, teaching and mentoring your kids...As a Dad you are your kids superhero and not some superman or spider man in a movie etc,,, and to be such an example Dad for your kids is such a blessing not forgetting the uncle who's also playing a major roll in their life.......To all the fathers that run from their kids life watch and learn, this is one good example of building strong families, neighbors, communities, nations etc...ONE MIC..................
how fun to be able to play with your family like that, sounds great! I think u should do a video where all of u r playing BASS!!! I think BASS makes every song sound better! *Cheers*
Wow that was beautiful Elder Jones, you have to be a proud father. I really enjoyed this. What a blessed family you all are. May God continue to richly bless your family.
I have always enjoyed the Jones, up close and from afar! And the next generation, they've entertained me from the time they were walking and talking. Proud of Rodney Jr. Lawrence, Paul and keeping my eyes on John.!!!
Man I laughed so hard! Me, I'm not surprised at what my daddy listens to lol I knew he was going to say Kirk Franklin lol I was tapping my feet the whole time hahaha I'm super glad to be a Jonesite!! Jones Forever!!
This entire interview was simply amazing Lawrence Jones said something that grabbed my attention when he said that music has become such a complex arrangement of busy chord movements and key changes that the message is lost in the mix. I find myself being guilty of conforming to what I hear instead of what I feel but I will not do that any more. I salute these guys for there honesty and courage it really helped me a lot. Thank you Larry for One Mic I thoroughly enjoy your segments.
Praise the Lord, this is great. It would be wonderful if the traditional hymns are visited, tweaked where needed to line up with the word and get a fresh bump up here and there. If the original tune or melody can still have a feature spot...it gets better and better. What a wonderful blessing, my dad played guitar - I was very young when he passed away. Unfortunately, me and my siblings did not have that gift passed to us through him. God bless you Jones family...continue to let God be glorified. The Word of God is the difference maker, not the letter alone but the Spirit...the anointing of God. Every good and perfect gift comes from God. The anointing is vital. Do your thang, may God be glorified and the anointing goes forth to heal, to save, to set free and to deliver. That is a good piece of transparency. Wow... how amazing... totally glorious...Perfected Praise... Hallelujah!!! Turn this world up side down in Jesus name! Thank you.
This is awesome! I always look up videos of Lawrence Jones gettin down with Fred hammond and get my worship on! But I did not know he comes from a very Blessed/talented family. My brothers and I all play and sing in our worship team. We're still working on getting better at what love doing. Though we're not on the jones level lol, but man I wish we were as good as them. God Bless.
I am huge fan of Rodney Jr and Lawrence Jones. After this up close and personal interview I've gained even more admiration for these amazing men. I'm so glad the camera was close up on some of those guitar licks and bass groove because I will be "borrowing" this material! :D thank you for amazing videos MM, not only of the Joneses but also Sharay, Joey, etc
I really enjoyed watching this interview, i can see by the smile on your face your very proud to be a part of a very gifted family of musician's. Respect to ye all from Ireland.
Gospel, Christian music….. “The Message” is the Base, the foundation of All music. Message is about the “Love and Pain” of Life with the Remedy for All is CHRIST.
I totally agree about the song arrangements being busy. I auditioned for several gospel groups who were writing their own music and all them had song arrangements that were just out of control. I truly felt the lyrics/message was getting lost. I ended up declining joining those projects.
I pray that God continues to bless your family for many more years to come. I pray that I'll be able to meet y'all if y'all ever come to Houston. I would love to shake you all hands and give Rodney Jr a hug. He always kills that bass.
Larry that's was hot!! I'm Spanish speaking but my favorite music is Gospel. Yes it's changing but Gospel will always be Gospel. Oh yea me I like to listen to Kenny G
