THANK YOU for ONE MILLION SUBSCRIBERS! We are beyond grateful for all of your love and support over the past 10 months since we started vlogging in February 2022. We had no idea one year ago just how blessed our lives would become.
To thank you and honor you we wanted to Give Back so we spent the holidays doing just that!
We shopped and online shopped, unboxed and organized a Merry Christmas for TWELVE local teens, and made up and delivered TWO HUNDRED bags of essential items to our local homeless community.

The way you choose to celebrate was so wonderful! I think blessed is the best description of your children’s lives. Those who are not parenting children from difficult circumstances or children with special needs may not understand but those of us who are have have been given the gift of parenting special kids know that all the material items and experiences you provide them are ways to help them feel love, wanted and secure, as well as help them navigate their daily lives with more ease. Doughtery Dozen thank you for sharing your 1 million subscribers with us. I just want to say I cried watching this whole video. What you did for those teenagers was amazing. And listening to Alex say how much he enjoyed doing cause he knows what it's like brought me even more tears. And providing items for 200 homeless individuals was simply humble as well. Oh How I love this family I was once in foster care from 2-18 years old I’m 24 now! I was never fortunate to be adopted but I beat the odds! @@lucyhall902 11:59 she has a list of names and you can read them throughout the next few minutes (unique and easy to identify spelling too), 26:57 she's in front of the hotel and she says it's raining in Rochester (identifying the town), then at 12:44 she proceeds to show the entrance and the lobby of the hotel (also easy to identify if you're in Rochester), 28:18 she shows one room number and over the next few minutes she proceeds to not only show the rest of the room numbers, but also say the names of the children staying in them again. This woman does not care *at all* about these children and their safety.

Very nice ! One suggestion would have been to leave the mayo off and no condiments on sandwiches at all. Maybe side packets of mustard and Mayo they can squeeze on their sammich- the mayo on sandwiches spoils quickly if not refrigerated

I just watched this and went back to watch for a second time. WOW!! You can see how it has effected you and your family, to see you all come together again as one and do what you all did was just wow and so humbling. Realy makes you think of others that are not as lucky as alot of us are, just a bed to sleep in on christmas eve, what amazing people you all are. You are a good soul Alicia. This absolutely melts my heart. I love to help the homeless all I can too. Just yesterday, my mum and I were food shopping and outside was a homeless man and he was the most positive person that I have ever met. As a family, we don’t have a lot but my mum and I each went a got £10 (about $12) out of the ATM and we gave it to him and he looked at us like we’d just given him a winning lottery ticket; he was over the moon. Helping that man made my week, and I’ll never forget that look on his face. I gave him a small amount of money but what he gave me in return was priceless. Congrats on a million guys, you’re such wonderful people and I’m so glad I stumbled upon your channel ❤

Ok…. Last comment. You said your kids are spoiled. Your kids are blessed- NOT spoiled. The Oxford definition is: “(of a person, especially a child) harmed in character by being treated too leniently or indulgently”. You work hard to provide your kids a great life, experiences and most importantly that they are LOVED. Don’t ever feel guilty for that. The haters- they need to take a long hard look in the mirror. You seem humble, honest and self-aware in your approach. Indeed, an excellent perspective builder for the kiddos. I'm so glad to see that you will regularly be "giving back" -- what a fabulous idea. Maybe the kids can each choose an organization they find meaningful.

This is a master class in giving back, teaching our children to be cheerful givers, compassion, community, mother and fatherhood, not to mention multitasking and organization. I've watched everyone of your videos, from the day I subscribed and am proud to be a part of the DD family. What a beautiful comment. I can relate to watching their videos everyday to get an update on their lives, keep me company, and provide a sense of family. I have worked within the foster system- and man o man do the Dougherty dozen do it right. I’m so happy they can be a positive example and uplifting space on the internet :)

I love this and would love information for the homeless hotel for families please. I love how touching this was for Alex and hearing how he spoke about remembering when he had nothing. I love how all the kids were involved with giving I as a parent think every child needs to serve so they can stay humble, feel the amazing feelings that come from giving, and just the appreciation those less fortunate have for things that are often taken for granted. Thank you for your love towards others ❤

These kids very proudly say themselves what their names are. Like I said obviously you do not know this family at allll stop assuming. Anything. If you don't know them stop guessing ....this is a very tight knit family they do everything together and every child totally enjoys what they do and where they go. Ok....he parents have opened their hearts and their home for them.
