One Mix 4 review: 10 inch mini laptop with Intel Tiger Lake 

There are plenty of laptop brands that now use pop-up or sliding cover webcam, so that is fine by me.

I'd first think that too but then again... if you have a video meeting, it's weird, and you couldn't (technically you could, but not really) attach your phone to use it as a camera for example. What I'd like however would be some small appendages (specifically designed for this device or otherwise just good) you'd easily add, perhaps a USB-C port at the top of the screen...(?) or maybe a standard (if there's no standard, create a standard) docking system for appendages (sure, you could have some things attached with a clip or something but ehhh.. no thanks). I mean of course the camera could just be included there, but IF leaving it out helps with keeping it even more tiny factor (although I doubt it), then ok, I'd rather have extra things separately (meaning: don't have a camera here). A bit like the battery here... the battery life is quite BAD, I'd say, however if any powerbank will do, I think it's totally OK. You could then just choose the size of your battery on your own.

For making notes, answering emails etc on the go it's far superior to a phone while much more portable than most laptops.

@@khalilalabiat8064 I installed windows 11 with it, and it runs smoothly. I could even play Diablo2resurrected with just its integrated graphics, battery is decent. But the portability and power just cannot be understated. Imo you don't need the i7, but like they always said, this shouldn't be your main gaming and do it all rig. This is whay I carry in a small bag, and dock into a monitor and wireless bluetooth keyboard for more intensive office work. But traveling with it has been a breeze.

The USB 4.0 ports are effectively unbranded Thunderbolt ports - they work just the same, including external GPU support. Webcam can be addressed with a USB webcam or by using your phone as a wireless webcam. If they had built in a webcam it likely would have been the quality of a 10 year old potato, anyway.

10 inch is the smallest size that can be practically useful for real work without an external monitor. I really miss 11 inch mac air.

Totally agree, to me missing a camera is also whats keeping me from buying a One Mix device. Looked at Chuwi, but their mini laptop is quiet old.

Camera probably would have been awful quality, anyway. Use a USB camera or you can also use your phone's camera wirelessly as a webcam, which will give you significantly better quality than pretty much any webcam.

Seems like One Netbook didn't do a great job at mounting the cooler, nor is the heatsink finishing particularly high quality. I have seen others who have removed the heatsink and smoothed the surface with sanding (it was essentially convex rather than flat out of the box and didn't make good contact with the die) and it made a significant difference.

If a webcam is so important just grab an external. They can also be much better than an internal.

@@ulatbulu8524 No, it's not. It's 100% a "productivity" device. The fact that it *can* game is beside the point. One Netbook's gaming machines have much more substantial cooling solutions than this.

One Netbook has been opted for n-trig for several years.

Not out of the box, but One Netbook said they are releasing a firmware update shortly to enable the BIOS setting. It's technically capable otherwise.

problem is you wouldn't get thunderbolt (well, USB4...) which is kind of the appeal of these devices - pairing it with an egpu or a powerful dock for home-go use
