Hey guys,
I know in my last video I said I wasn't going to be trying a Zero to Hero again in Dark and Darker, but when I logged in High Roller was calling me, so I gave it a go. I actually had a full set basically hand-delivered to my bard, killed a rogue, and then died to poison weapons before I could heal... That made me think that it could be done, so I tried again, survived a couple Dark and Darker High Roller matches, and now here's one of those games! I'll probably have 1-2 more matches with this uploaded tomorrow as well. Bard is really great even in base-kit against the PVE in Dark and Darker, but it's definitely a struggle to PVP against a decent amount of classes until we're able to stack more health, PDR, damage, and move-speed from gear. Opening portals more than once of each type doesnt give ap, only 1 time from blue and 1 time from red portals

Did that change? I tested it last season and it was giving every time.

@@Deltsong I am not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to this game but i was in repozes stream i saw that he wasnt opening all the portals i asked about it he and his chat said that since the beginning of this wipe only 1st blue and 1st red that u open gives ap

I do my zero to heroes on emptier servers because there's no gbmm and u usually survive long enough to get going not as many players but u still get some actually usually really sweaty geared players surprisingly

That’s fair :) I basically just wanted to do it on the same server because even though there’s a bigger chance l’ll die, there’s still a chance to come out big too haha

@@Deltsong ya true i found all i was running into on us east/west was 299 BIS players or close to it then when id break 300gs id stand literally 0 chance at least on the lower pop servers u can actually pick up upgrades without worrying if it will put u in super stacked lobbies. Surprised they've left gearscore in the game tbh it's just a bad mechanic.

@@Zak-jt6nk I completely understand why you’d go onto different servers. I don’t really like gear score either, but I understand that there’s pros and cons to it.. So some people like it 🤷🏻‍♂️

@Deltsong the only con I put on gbmm is that it makes an upgrade a downgrade which just feels had like if you are 295 gearscore on a 0 to hero and u find a direct leg piece upgrade that's a purple and you are wearing blue or green well now u just put yourself in que with people in full legendary and unique kits u stand 0 chance against so it makes you stronger sure but in reality it puts you back on the bottom of the bracket
