Dude this video was so deep. I wasn't expecting this, your memory of DW3 has quite a few similarities to me discovering DW2 and how that opening locked me into this series forever. DW 3 was my first DW game. I was a kid so i didn't really understand the story, but the moment that stuck out to me was Sun Jian's death. Seeing Sun Ce get angry while Sun Jian is lying there crushed under a rock really made me pay more attention to the story.

The more I look at these games, the more I believe that Musou is as much about the characters' dreams and aspirations as it is their actual exploits. The very scene you showed to explain your preference for Wei was the scene that made me a Wu partisan. But the more I think about it, the story began all the way back in DW4. Shu Campaign, final mission. Wei is already defeated, and Sun Jian readies his final stand with his children. It went something like this: Me: "I defeated Sun Jian! It's over!" Sun Jian: "Though I die, the Sun family will live on!" Me: "That's cute. Wait, why isn't the mission ending?" Sun Ce: "What my father started I will finish!" Me: "That's an interesting twist. But this shouldn't take long." Sun Quan: "What my father and brother started I will finish!" Me: "Well this is senseless. It was over. You should've just stayed down." Sun Shangxiang: "What my father and brothers started I will finish!" Me: "JUST STAY DOWN!! I don't want to do this!" Sun Shangxiang: "I can still... still..." Me: "Such a waste." Far too often in the series, Shu and Wu only fight because of the premise that only one can win in the end. All three factions have at least one leader that thinks that way. So when Sun Quan said, "The land may take a form we haven't yet realized," that was the beginning of a story arc I could get behind. Defeat the central premise, get peace with less bloodshed. The people wanted it to be over. Did they necessarily need it unified? Cao Cao thought so, and that's why he had to be eliminated by even his own admission. Would it have worked? I don't know. Would I have liked to see them try? For the sake of the people, absolutely.

mine is, ok are, first and only is Da Qiao in WO1 opening when Kanetsugu stops the canon balls (Idk if WO counts here since most of everything happens in WO don't have other meanings than defeating Orochi but well that's my all time goose bump scene, the music, her purple twin fans, everything was too fancy for me as a kid back then so I love that scene so much. And that's also when she is Da Qiao, not Daqiao for any stupid reason. If talking about WO, some of my friends also fancy of WO3 opening where the girls hold hands and jump over a fire hydra ball but that scene is more like a commercial one to me, I don't feel any connecting to that. My honorable mention are: 1. Insufferable rogue. 2. Lord Liu Bei lives!!! (I'm sure you know where 1 and 2 comes from lol), and 3. Is Okuni's ending in 3z, where I don't even know a single Japanese word but I can still feel the beauty of the cutscene, the voice actress did well. Okuni is like a reaper there to collect poor soul, the glowing tori gate in the end, just magnificent. Oichi, Sakon, literally poor souls that born in the wrong era. I still have that video pin on the top in my watch later, by the famous Wonderpierrot ofcrs. You see, I mention two scenes, one without any talking and one in completely Japanese, Which means my mousou moments are scenes that causing a strong impact and being engraved in my mind. I know this makes me miss out alot of great scene like WO3U ending where the mystics send them back home and everyone "feel like have just woken up from a long dream", DW8XLCE Zhang Liao surrender to Wei at Xia Pi, DW7 3 kingdoms ending, every Genki and Zhao scene where she allows him to bypass his responsibility, but I feel like those scene are too well crafted, Its intention from the beginning was to become a mousou moment and everything is toooooo remarkable, too much acting, too much poetic, mine are something that's more simple.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV is what got me started lol. From there I learned of and played Dynasty Warriors. However, I had lready read the books when I played Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

Stop, this was such a genuinely wholesome and heartfelt and sweet video, I love it. I don’t think you know how much you’re appreciated by all of us (probably because we all ganged up to destroy your kingdom in your own minigame… #noragrets) but seriously, from the bottom of my heart - thank you for everything you’ve done - and continue to do - for this community! I was originally stoked to just find that people were making DW content in general, but to then be allowed to join your band of misfits and get to know all of you and have my opinions and thoughts be validated (ish) is something I’ll forever be grateful for. I know we all butt heads, but I’ve never once regretted nerding out every weekend with you all - so thank you for that! 🥂

Brother... NGL I was expecting about 5-6 musou moments and I was so ready to share mine (don't even remember it but I'm a huge warriors fan Warriors Orochi 3 being my favorite of all time and still playing it) but hey, you really got me with your message. I'm 32 by now. Since I was 12 I always wanted to become a rapper but nobody showed support (growing up and living in Mexico it wasn't a culture at all) I stopped dreaming about it for several years until recently that I decided to make my first song lol Anyway. I just wanted to say thanks for all your content. Nowadays it's hard to keep myself entertained and your videos are some of my favorite ones. Keep going with your dreams and I truly respect your strength for believing in yourself no matter what. That took me a long time lol anyways brotha keep going with the hard and smart work and no matter if it flourish into a huge garden or just a simple flower. Nobody will EVER take that from you and no one else will be able to recreate it S/O from Mexico :) you see? Your content had crossed frontiers at this moment and thanks, this was surprisingly inspirational 🙏🏼

3:24 The moment I became a Cao Cao/ Wei fan!

DW3 was my first game and I’m not sure I fully understood what the point was when I originally started playing as a kid. Yeah, I knew to kill enemies, and to grab “life rocks” (meat buns), and there was a “boss boss” I had to defeat to win the level, but 90% of my first few battles was just me forcing my brothers to go around and collect as many horses as we could find and just…. line them all up as if we were running a stable. We definitely weren’t the brightest crayons in the Crayola box lol What really sucked me into the characters tho was (obvs) watching Sun Ce mourn Sun Jian (super Wu fangirl born and raised right then and there) - and then Diaochan’s plight regarding Dong Zhou. Even as a kid, watching that man be such a creep and watching her be so sad struck a deep personal chord within me and I was determined to get vengeance for her 😅 And I think from there is when I really fell down the rabbit hole because I was CONVINCED somebody needed to do something about this Dong Zhou fella - so imagine my surprise finding out there was a whole historical aspect and novel to boot lol

DW3 is my first DW game, and the big moment for me was when my brother and I first encountered Lu Bu. That is a big moment for the both of us, but, DW7 and Cao Cao's nightmare...it just hit a little different. Him dreaming of Dian Wei, the people fleeing from him in fear and begging Liu Bei for safety and Guan Yu's threat looming over him as though he were a giant...it just made him more...human.

We appreciate you and think you are very brave! You are a true warrior of the three kingdoms! It t takes incredible strength and fortitude to forge your own path and just know every time you wake up and get back to it that’s a success in itself! I believe you have a much success still to come in your future and I for one and so proud of you man! ❤️❤ My musuo moment that got me fully invested in the series was the first time I saw my dad playing HuLao Gate in Dynasty Warriors 3! The cutscene with DiaoChan got me so invested in the battle and when my dad told me she was actually on the opposing side and he would have to fight her I was on the edge of my gaming backseat the whole time! Asking far too many questions and giving my dad constant map updates😂. I still remember how satisfying it was to hear the music of the results screen and see how my dad went across the map with my help in the recap. Even though he was playing it really felt like we worked together to win! I wouldn’t get seriously into the difficult aspects of the game until much later though I was only 7 😂

Nice video man. A personal favorite is "a New Land" in Wei's story in DW7. It shows some of the ways Cao Cao is more intelligent then people such as Dong Zhuo or Yuan Shao who just focused on getting more powerful, while he thinks about the best ways to secure his territory’s and gain the loyalty of the people under him, along with showing a bit about what he wants after the war. It also shows several of the people under him just hanging out and having some fun. I still laugh at Xu Zhu and Xiahou Yuan messing with Dian Wei.

The opening is amazing the characters are fun Zhang He was a very fun character and he got into wei.
