sorry i’m late, please allow me to explain why this happened: bottle no. 3 makes the leftover dye that’s still in your hair surface up. that’s why you can do the whole process, wash your hair, then wake up the next morning with dark hair again. what that product is actually meant for is telling you if you have to repeat the process! the dye isn’t “magically” coming back, it just needs to be removed. hope that helped!
@@gimmedamoneyboss6691 i mean you could skip it, but it’s a helpful indication of wether you need to repeat the process or not 🤷🏻♀️ otherwise you could wake up confused and with a darker hair color like this girl lmao. but you don’t HAVE to, it’s just supposed to help!
Johanna Jackson oh yes black and red are the hardest! It took it out of my roots and some of the middle and ends but I’ve colored so much that the color wouldn’t come out of areas. So I did a bleach wash.. stupid me put it on my roots not thinking.... My hair was like a freaking neon yellow orange! Lol I wouldn’t even leave my apartment to go get a color to fix. I made my friend come over at 1am and fix it. Lol
The worker at Sally’s warned me about the smell, so I was prepared. Just not for rotten eggs. I used dawn dish soap and the smell was gone. The only issue now is if you use it, it might strip some of the new color you put on it.
I used this today to get black hair dye out and I really can't be more happy. Last time I dyed my hair black and regretted it 20 years ago, I had it stripped and it destroyed my hair. This was the easiest process I have ever went through. Just make sure you only leave it in for the 20 minutes or the molecules will change and darken it back up. Then shampoo it very good twice, or the dye will still be in it and darken it. I didn't use the 3rd step myself in fear that it would re-darken. I didn't have the henna in my hair so I didn't have that problem. It turned my hair a pretty and even medium strawberry blonde. I like it...but I may dye it blonde later this week. Boy, does it smell like an egg fart though because of the sulfur!! LOL!
ive been doing black as well for a long long time.. ive got this in now. I wont be doing the lotion is that what you are reffering to? i feel like it just darkens back up too... goig to wash this out and do it a second time then add a few highlights in as well.. hope.it works 🤞
I believe It’s because you didn’t wash it all out long enough, I read you have to keep washing and washing for 15-30 mins or else the original color will come back because the color molecules were still in your hair if that makes sense lol it’s confusing I know it’s happened to me as well so the last time I removed the color I washed my hair and shampood it at least 10 times no joke lol my hair stayed light for weeks till I dyed it. I’m going to remove my dark color this Wednesday morning and will make a video and post it on my channel m, you’re welcome to subscribe to watch it! My hair is dark brown almost black looking I just want it a natural brown that’s my goal! Praying all turns out well🙏🏼
Hi Tisi, based on the videos I’ve watched before, the reason why this happened to your hair is because you did not use # 3. Even though this step might bring your hair back to a dark color, it is an essential step to find out how your hair turns out right away and then if your not satisfied wt the results, you can repeat the process up to 3 times that same day and not two to three weeks later. My advice, don’t skip #3. I have used this product on blue black hair and I am 100% satisfied 😊
You can try rubbing alcohol to remove henna. Once my teacher informed me what henna can do to your hair I decided to never ever touch it those. Metallic salts in the dye stain your hair with a tough base and it’s very hard to get out. Most people can keep a Demi color on top until you see that the henna is grown out enough to cut it and change your colors with no problem.
Oh god I could smell how horrible it is through my freaking phone, the product works really well in my opinion but it smells horrible ... like I said it worked really well, but I had to get Garnier bleach to get the rest of the colours out
You were supposed to start from the bottom up never start from your roots because that were the new virgin hair grows so it will grave much faster because of the new hair growing in
Thank you for the tip. A few others mentioned the same thing. Next time I try this product I am definitely going to start from the bottom and work my way up.
Tisi I did it the other day and I was so scared for it to go back to a darker toon and it didn’t I left it in for 30 min since I have so much hair and my hair was a black blue it went to a dark brown . Then I did it again week later band now it’s a red brown I have a RU-vid channel I will be posting the video up soon if you would like to stay tune and more then welcome love just subscribe so you can see if 🙂
Thats impossible for your hair to go darker after its been stripped weather you used 3 or not. Ive been using it for decades and its always stayed the same colour.
JohnnyDaKid I’m using colour fix currently and sadly the only way to get the smell out of your hair, is to wash it with a heaping amount of a strong smelling shampoo and conditioner two or three times a day for a couple of days. It took forever to get the smell out, putting a garnier dye in your hair will get the smell out too cause it’s very chemically and takes the rotten eggs smell right out lolol
The number 3 dark a litle bit ,and the its better not use 3 ,and wash with champu woth camomila ,ir tío Nacho ,bevause the color cabe again if there is a litle black
I did this to strip out my black box dye and left out #3 and now my hair is just left with like a red tint. Does anyone know how to get rid of the red?? Should I use step 3?? or do I have to buy another box or something
I just purchased 2 boxes of this color remover from Sally's. After watching this, I think I'm going to return them. They were suggested by the clerk after I originally went in to buy Color Oops. Well, they don't carry this so she said a lot of people love this. Just scared if I use this and then dye my hair a lighter say 6 shade but then 2 weeks later it turns back to my dark brown shade, it will be a waste of time. I'll try to check out other videos to find someone who actually did dye their hair a light shade after removing dark brown dye using this product but thanks for the warning.
When I used this product to remove my burgundy hair color it came out a dark blonde. As soon I put a deep conditioning on it turned my hair green. I repeated the color fix and it took the green away then I tried to bleach and my hair turned green again. I saw a video that the girl said when you use this product you can't use anything with peroxide on it.
Hayley H. I use these all of the time to remove stubborn dark colors like black or brown to go to lighter colors such as yellow or pink. I also do not use step 3 that comes in the box!! I think you should give them a try if you haven’t already :) (my hair is also previously bleached underneath)
Color remover will only remove oxidative color. Henna and fashion colors stain the hair, and color remover will not remove stain, only the oxidative color molecules from inside the hair shaft. You can apply the remover on your entire head, even the roots, and it will only remove previous color pigment, NOT lighten your roots or hair... it's not lightener.
i bleach washed my hair once after 2 applications and it darkened my hair. I bleached it (straight up no dilution) and it lightened my hair. Is my hair going to darken over time again or am I in the clear???
You Had color molecules left in your hair . You have to rinse for 3 minutes . You use step 3. If it turns back to dark you need to use another color remover because there’s still color left in that’s what it went back to dark because all the color wasn’t out
Has anyone ever tried this on a semi permanent colour? I've read it doesn't quite work but it's a black semi permanent and under it I have a good few years of permanent. Not sure if I should bother trying it but I reaaalllyyyy don't like the black and I don't think crushed vitamin c tablets and clarifying shampoo helps. More so looking for a quick fix.
Every time I tried it, it was on my hair that I had put permanent hair color in. I’m honestly not really sure how it would work on semi-permanent hair color. You could maybe test a piece of hair first.
The key to getting any color remover to work properly is to wash and rinse multiple times, and then wash and rinse some more because any color molecules left in your hair when you're finished will oxidize, and turn your hair back to the color it was before you used the remover, or sometimes even darker.
Wow! The ending had me so confused! I wonder why this might have happened. It is actually great though because you didn’t have to dye it just regulated on its own. That’s awesome. Have you found out why it might have done this? Very helpful video btw 🙏
I was shocked, I thought my hair went back to it's original color. I still don't know why this happened. I had a feeling people were going to watch this video and think what the heck is going on with her hair. lol. Thank you for watching. I'm glad it was helpful. I'm going to try the product again, so I will definitely do a video and let everyone know how it comes out the 2nd time.
kinda surprised the sallys person didnt tell u how to use this properly. i even made a video of the lady talking me through the instructions. ur suppose to throw #3 away and wash ur hair like 6 times after u do this. then she gave me these little powder packets and told me to put that in and wash it 6 times again.
I've never used color fix, and i've been seeing tons of videos saying skip #3, i've used color oops and it sucked made my hair go back be same color, so if i do color fix just skip #3
Hello, thank you for stopping by my channel. I am trying to grow my channel, so if you like my channel, it would mean a lot if you would subscribe. Also, I would love to subscribe to you channel as well. Just let me know below. Thanks everyone!
I’ve only tried it on my hair that has been colored. Let my know what happens. I would think it might change your natural hair color a little bit, but I’m not sure.
What do you mean "permanent hair color" i have bleached+relaxed hair which means is damage and one i dont wanna add any more chemials to my hair and i used a semi permanent color on my bleached hair and its uneven and ugly so i just wanna go back to the light orange hair
In the past I used step 3 and it darkened my hair up a little bit. I think it’s a toner and that’s why. I didn’t use it this time, because I didn’t want my hair to darken back up too much.
This product can only remove deposited color. Whatever is under the deposited color will be your result. If you bleached and have bleached out hair underneath, that will be your result. If you did not bleach first, it will be your previous color. It cannot lift the actual color of your hair, it is not bleach.
Hi I really enjoyed your video!! I have problems with my grey hair as well. I just used Colorfix last night and my entire is brassy orange, i guess...hmmm i also had multiple semi permanent colors i had previously used, red then I dyed black last year but then it just started fading away so I thought most of my black was gone. NOT! i tried a tanzanite perm dye and of course it didn't work. Only got slight purple on the top of my head or maybe my hubby didn't dye correctly ugh! so i bought this Colorfix and my hair is not orange orange, i would say orange-brown. I wanted to dye a dark blue but at this point i'm so confused on toning down this orange etc and i've watched so many videos today. OVERWHELMED!! Now I think I'm just going to dye with a black or blue black semi permanent. Any suggestions? thank you!!!
After my hair came out orange with the color fix, I waited about a week before doing anything to my hair again and the orange color went away on its own. I know it can be frustrating and confusing. I wish I had an answer to give you. I don’t know what the best thing to do would be. I have heard that you can correct orange toned hair with a blue based dye. Let me know what you end up doing and if it works. 💕
First of all thank you so much for taking the time to reply!! But you are never going to believe this. My hair was brassy orange nasty and after viewing so many videos and got so overwhelmed ugh!! I decided to dye Splat Midnight Indigo and I thought I would have green for sure but I didn’t!! I was really surprised!! The color is bleeding horribly just as others said on their videos plus I swear so much. So it is frustrating but I simply love the color. It literally came out the way I wanted. I don’t know how many days I will wait to wash because seriously I am going to have an anxiety attack if I have to see all the BLUE again🙈😬 my hubby said I looked mike Smurfette 💙 when I did red semi perm for 2 yrs si went thru the same thing. Bleeding red when I would sweat and I stained blouses. So yesterday I wore a blue blouse and today again. I honestly don’t want to ruin my blouses lol. I know if I keep dying this color it eventually lasts a lil longer maybe. I also read today to use Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse, has great benefits on our hair so I want to try that. For right now my neck is blue and I keep wiping with coconut oil/olive oil. But I LOVE IT!! Like everything in life, has it’s pros and cons. Thank you again!! I have to watch more of your videos now that I subscribed 🥰🙏💙
Can anyone help me? I had chunky red highlights and black hair. Under I had hicolor copper red. My black seems to have gone back to that color and a light brown but my red is like orange/goldish. I did 1&2 with an ion booster the lady at Sally’s recommended me. I skipped step 3.
You put it on your roots, and your roots lift way faster than the ends of your hair because 1, that's virgin hair, and 2, because your scalp radiates heat which activates the product faster. Probably should have done the ends first and left the root out. Thinking of trying this product so I'm glad I watched this first
Hola Chicas alguien que me diga alrededor de cuantos dias puede durar este olor en mi pelo es una cosa horrible me lo he lavado un momton de veces y no creo que el olor disminuya 🤢🤢🤢
I had the same exact thing happen to me with the green muddy color. But I know it was because I did a two step henna and then indigo to my hair. The henna can be lightened with both color removers or bleach but that INDIGO. Forget it. I had to resign on it. I am now waiting until my hair grows out so I can cut those parts off. So all this to say is that I don’t believe what you’re seeing in your hair with the green tones is henna. Henna is not green, just orange/red. I don’t know what you used when you did henna but I can almost guarantee you it was not pure henna. Indigo is what gives you a blue/green tinge that is almost impossible to remove, it is like a super intense stain.
I used rainbow henna. Thank you so much for the info. I didn’t know that about the indigo. I had to do the same thing and cut the green out as my hair grew. If I ever use henna again, I will definitely make sure it’s pure and without indigo. Thank you!!! 💖
@@TisiSandoval oh yeah I checked out the henna you used. It totally had the indigo listed on the ingredients. They should really warn people lol. I almost fried my hair off trying to get it out. Your hair looks super lovely now and glad you were able to grow it out.
So update for me... I bleached it again and the green was just not coming out at all. I ended up cutting most of it out and dyed a lovely ginger red color over it which I’m pretty happy with. I’ll do henna gloss over it soon to make the red stay longer. That green was just so awful wow.
Hi!! the reason the hair went back to that colour is because the hair dye reoxidized. I used colour oops and the same thing happened. When you wash your hair, you really have to wash it. colour remover shrink the dye so it can be washed out. The box says to wash your hair with clarifying shampoo for 20 minutes. I hope this helps!!!
step 1 and 2 worked amazing while applying on my hair it was turning back my blonde and after washing out 4 times still blonde. Once putting step 3 it darkened. I hurried and washed out 4 more times. Now brown. My advice don't use 3. Yes it says on box it may darken again and if so use step 1 and 2 again so you'll buy another box and put more money in their pocket. Money hungry business. SMH
It’s not for permanent hair color only semi permanent. It still helped you but it isn’t a bad product at all . I’ve used it multiple times and it’s the only one that comes w a toner. Can’t compare your hair to hers. Just saying!
Aztec Girl i just had used this yesterday. it didn’t ruin my hair at all it just had a rotten egg smell from the sulfur that takes about a day to leave.
Ese es el problema de que quedó un cabello que parece arcoiris por no aplicar una persona profesional ella se ve que no tiene experiencia con el cabello no es peluquera por eso le quedó un cabello espantoso mírala con 50000 colores qué fuerte
Hi! I do not think this product is intended for natural hair, just meant to remove the artificial color on top of your hair. I think you need actually bleach to change your hair...but you're lucky to have natural black hair!!
Also, the red you're seeing is just residual pigmentation from the black dye. Black is made of the three primary colors, blue being the most pigmented, but red is the most difficult to remove.
