from the 30th June - 9th July I took my last trip of my au pair year. I took a flight up north to the baltics and visited stockholm and tallinn. these are two places i had never been to before, and also very unexpected from me. the idea was inspired by the swedish midsummer. the vibes just seemed so cool, and I wanted to get a taste of summer in sweden for myself. tallinn was a random add on because the flight there was cheap. although funny story, I had to pay a 55 euro fee to the flight company because I hadnt checked in online. apparently this small detail was in the fine print, but who reads that anyway???!
oh well. stockholm was amazing, I loved going swimming there off the rocks, the bakeries, and the beautiful, colourful buildings. I could definitely picture myself living there if it weren't so cold in winter.
tallinn pleasantly surprised me. I had low expectations, but the old town was beautiful and there was plenty to see and do. it is clearly a blosoming, and growing city.
