Everybody in svt is dope but seungkwan's got that spirit in his voice that i just cannot get over EDIT: tbh i also don't think he's as noticeable in their MVs, but every live performance i see of them, he's like front and center. The channel seventeenlyrics would have most of their songs there. While in Performance Unit songs, Dino often takes the role of rapper (even in group songs too) so you might want to check that out too. And Vocal Unit are more ballad-based, but their lyrics are top tier.

Perhaps it is because most of their rap-heavy songs are unreleased and were only performed on concerts. But some of the released ones are Trauma, Back it up, Lotto, If I, and Check in. congrats on matching everyone’s names to their faces! i know as a more casual fan it would definitely be hard to get everyone right lol i’m really happy you were vibing with their first song here, adore u! it’s their debut track and it’s such a fun, funky song that seriously changed the game for boy groups(they debuted in the midst of an era of dark and moody boy groups and brought in a breath of fresh air with their imaginative choreography and talent). carats often talk about how woozi saved pledis from bankruptcy at the age of 19 with that song lol. agree with the other commenter who mentioned their rolling stone special, but the three songs performed all have their own mvs in case you want to check those out first(vocal unit-pinwheel, hip hop unit-trauma, and perf unit-lilili yabbay)! perf unit’s song in particular is very different from the rolling stone special version to better showcase their vocal abilities :) sorry for the long comment, but i appreciate your thoughts and how you comment on the videos you watch. especially the concern and appreciation for their mental health/work life shows how you see them as people and not cogs in the machine. not that other reactors necessarily see idols that way but i don’t really see that sentiment often hahah. i think for svt, they’ve gotten a better handle on their health over the years. but hit the road is a 14 episode series on their channel that delved a bit into the more stressful side of their lives, if you’re interested in that at all. anyways, i really enjoy your svt reactions! being a fashionable 8star is a plus as well 😌🙏

Wonwoo is actually pronounced as won-ooh 😊 and yeah the rap unit is amazing.. If you'd like to watch the Rolling Stones Unit performances, Rap Unit was 🔥 there... Welp everyone actually was 🔥 in that performance.

(probably bc svt is already so well known for their dance performances lol...) but if you want to check out more of the rapline I recommend their unit songs "trauma" "check-in" and "what's good", they seriously have some of my favorite voices and flows in kpop

"woozi is the only normal one" You are half right, and half missed it lol As you said, performance team got quite unique voices that give wide range of vocal tone of svt! You may have already known, but Hoshi got his own solo song called Spider and svt got songs from each team. I think team songs allow them to explore so many different genre of music and allow us to appreciate each member's voices.

I think for svt's rap line, they just don't really focus on rap in their titles (i meam rap is good but songs are not "rap heavy" if you know what i mean) but they do shine in their unit or unreleased songs (like Un Haeng il chi - one of my favourites, they only performed it on tour so you can find videos but this song is not on music platforms) Also you are so good with their names oh god wow!!! to answer your question about promotions, most veteran groups spend less time promoting on music shows, and at this point in their careers seventeen will only spend 1-2 weeks at music shows!

I have to say, Seventeen’s rapline might not be the best in kpop. Since 2/4 of the members were originally vocalists but they’re still an amazing bunch nonetheless, lyrics wise and especially in performances. They’re dripping in charisma.
