Well I'm 4 weeks late into this but hazelnut trees are a great indicator for north-east shores, especially around the curve, when you know its Turkey. They also have distinct features from most of the trees, being short and almost not like a tree but a bunch of branches that grow from the soil. idk maybe it could help in the future
That flower is fuchsia boliviana - recognized it instantly. It's most commonly found in Colombia so good guess there, can also be found in Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, and Argentina. But I think relative to how commonly it shows up in each country Colo is the best shout.

I watched too much Plow Brothers and Live in the eastern Sierra during the 23/24 winter, so it was kinda obvious that it was mammoth . There arent many places in NA that have this much snow in villages.
the TV antenna looking so away from the sky suggests it has to be somewhere pretty far from the equator, so Indonesia would be a bad guess. Either way getting Turkey was difficult.
Strange that Rainbolt does not know that satellites near the equator point almost vertically. The satellites in the picture are pointing almost horizontally, that means far from the equator. Turkey makes sense and of course it cant be Indonesia
i personally enjoy those hard maps because ironically it gives casual players better odds to beat pros every once in a while. i personally don't know any meta but i sure am able to use my noggin all over the place
I really like the harder maps because I can get a lot of good calls that pros miss, unlike normal maps where every pro will know some meta to guarantee the answer.
I really enjoy the current maps. Sure I usually hit nothing on the 40s challenge (and I went Bangkok on that Jakarta too), but the zoomed map is just so much fun. Gives you the feeling of power when you hit the right country based on a few branches, and as a very mid player I can get 9-13k every day on this, which isn't that harsh. And then a lot of validation when the pros miss their guesses in the same matter as I did (like going Ghana on Bolivia today)
You dont get the glory of that random island guess without sometimes having the downfall of skipping jakarta. clearly, the moments you live for are pulling some small or obscure detail and getting a crazy pick. Just be kind to yourself about it.
seems like the community tends to pronounce penghu as “pen-goo” but it’s actually pronounced “pung-who”! Source: am taiwanese and have been there multiple times. Great seafood and cactus ice cream :)

Pronunciation note on Penghu, It's pronounced like peng hu with no hard g sound. Just been bothering me a bit that Mr. Rainbolt pronounces it like Pingu :)
@@Reality_Enjoyer People manage to say Shanghai like shang hai and it doesn't sound strange, so I think it would be fine for people to pronounce Penghu similarly.
