One of One (Part 4): Shoot Your Shot - DeVon Franklin 

I prayed this prayer during a relationship with a girl. I felt anxiety throughout the relationship and kept playing this song every night. 2 weeks later the girl ended the relationship, leaving me broken and confused. I then ran to drugs, pornography, and success to fill the void. None of it worked and then quarantine hit. And when quarantine hit it helped realize that I was building my life on falling sand, so I finally gave my life to God. Fast forward to now, I can listen to this song and look back on that time when I was praying for God to put me in the fire, GOD IS SO GOOD. I'm praying the same prayer now but this time I'm living for God and wanting Him to use me to impact people for His kingdom.

I think that we all can admit to missing the part where the Bible always gives the timeline in the form of "after some time" or "few years" or "in due time," etc. This establishes that God has a timing set for when he wants us to receive something. It's tough, but we always sing about waiting on the Lord, only to forget that whenever it comes, it is right on time. Even Jesus had to wait until he was 33 to start his ministry. I think that rushing does more harm than good. (Just my opinion)

This is the best sermon I have heard in decades. So practical and insightful. This is what we need for all aspects of our lives. Thanks you Pastor Devon!!

GOD is answering prayers! I have been praying that my dad would have an encounter with Jesus for awhile as I have seen Jesus a few times a few years ago. He told me on Saturday he has had 2 encounters with Jesus this past week! One Vision and one dream ❤

His Will must be yours . Make sure your heart is healed . Examine the desires because it is best to be single than with the wrong one . I didn't realize how timely this was, but currently, due to circumstances, I had been wanting to do record some webcasts and other things would happen (most currently a cold, and I NEVER GET SICK, and now my roommate is suffering from the same thing I caught !), so even though it is a setback, I don't consider it a defeat, no Sir. What can I say, God is always speaking!! This series has truly been a blessing to me in so many ways. Rejection has been an area that I have surrendered to the Lord. Its not easy in the physical, But God! I took chances regarding possible employment opportunities. Although I did not get an offer for either, I am proud of myself for stepping out and taking a chance. Now on the other hand regarding my singleness, eh yeah I have yet to do that. I am open to the possibilities and I trust God as my match maker. Now Im old fashioned, where I feel that the man should be the one to pursue as I tend to think that when we (women) approach a man that we look desperate. Now Im not that so I need some guidance regarding shooting my shot at a gentleman that I find to be intriguing. In the past I have been rejected, embarrassed so yeah the fear is real. But like Pastor says, should we get rejected, so what. Atleast we tried. Im gonna see how this unfolds🙏🏽

You're right, God Intervined by guiding me to this series, all these months later because I wasn't ready until now! Thank you for your service to God! Long story short, children & I'm have been through so much, that I could write a book on how fear had me completely paralyzed in every way & working it all for our good. Truth is the devil is a liar. Throughout my life the devil has been trying to keep me from who God created to be, he tried to keep me from knowing the truth. I am never alone, how much much I am already loved & to take back the authority over my life that God blessed me with.
