@@Depat this isn’t true. As long as you can get the efficiency of the heat pump to be over 350% a heat pump would work out cheaper if the boiler was controlled in the same way. If you are someone with a large heat loss in your home and only like to use the heating for a few hours morning and night then the heat pump would most likely be more expensive to run. People need to consider their control strategy more when opting for a heat pump.
