Yes that's å@holery since the poor critter doesn't really understand why it has to go through the ordeal in the first place. Talking to the cat in a normal human voice is actually helpful.

@@glory2cybertronI’ve actually heard that cats tend to prefer it since it doesn’t register as “baby” but rather is a separate voice than what we usually use. Helps them know which voice is for them since they can’t exactly use language based context cues

My cat developed the “pouch” when around 8. I started crying and took her to the vet. Thought it was a tumor. Felt like an idiot when vet said she was just chubby and pouch is normal. She’s fifteen now and very slim, but still has the luggage.

Lol, I thought the pouches presented after my cats were spayed/neutered, and it was somehow caused by getting them fixed. Recently I saw a video that this is a biological cat thing even in big cats to store fat to protect them from starvation, but I’m not sure if that was a factual thing, I’ve never heard it from a veterinarian or anything.

Oliver is so sweet. I only once had a cat that required a lion cut every April. No matter how much I brushed/combed him throughout the year, he would suddenly have a major spurt of fur around mid-March and mat terribly. He loved laying on the cool tiles through the Summer months.

This is basically what one of my cats does. He hasn't needed a groom but occassionally he needs a bath and he pretty much does this. He will take it, but not without crying as if he is drowning in 2 inches of lukewarm water.

My cat thought water was acid or something, Once he was in though he'd just stay there and Meow while tyring to plot an escape or a random frenzied Jump...never scratched or bit though. The Vet said he was a pretty docile cat, never tried to bite/scratch or harm the vet or strangers.

Oliver is so cute ! 🙀😍 I think he will be happier to be brushed more gently.... !! 😸 I know my cats are very sensitive when their hairs are pulled too much with the brush, it can hurt them a little :/

Definitely, I was surprised how rough the brushing looked here. Maybe it was just a trick of the camera, but I hope if anyone is watching these videos to learn how to groom their cat that they do it more gently. A lot of people don't realize how easy it is to pull a cat's skin with the brush and hurt them by accident.

My cat hates the Crate when I try to put her in it to go to the vet. At the vet she loves it, never wants to leave.

I watch, and I still don't believe my eyes. Having had cats who were ninja, pyscho, cuddle bunnies, it is a white knuckle ride for me as I wait for the explosion! He was so well behaved.

Yeah me too. My cat is fine on stable ground, but put in a carrier( at your own risk). When she was a kitten she punched her way out of a cardboard carrier. Looked like the hulk had been in there.
