I just wanted to say THANK YOU for doing these walking tours. They are a wealth of knowledge and without you and your videos, I wouldn't know half of what I know for fruit trees! THANK YOU!
Terrific video ! Love all the unique varieties he has ! 🤗👊 Spellings of some of these more unique ones would be helpful ! We struggle a bit more grrowing mango trees long term in the interior of the hot Metro Phoenix area. But we typically have less humidity & some less disease issues...
Great video once again . Educational value here is off the charts thank you. I also love to here a Naples connection/reference between Julian and the Birds. I’ve purchased rare fruit like canistel etc. from them at a farmers market here in naples and they were awesome truly passionate fruit tree educators. I’ll be looking for the Wise mango now for sure. Thanks
So many mango varieties out there. I have about a hundred mango trees of different variety as well. But out of them all, the one that stands out from the rest is the Manila or Carabao mango. Its the literal number 1 mango in guiness world record.
The Galleon trade went for 250 years. A large number of plants from Tropical Americas were tranplanted in the Philippines and visa versa in return. Carabao mango was succesfully transplanted in Mexico as Manila Mango , in Cuba as Mango Filipino.. Bananas and Jack fruit were were also wwwwwwwwwwwwwidely planted and utilized In return the Mexican trip filled the Philippine larder with numerous fruits and plants. Guava, anonas, atis, Zapote Zapodilla and many others.
Picked up a beautiful Oro Negro avocado and Emerald mango from Lara Farms and they arrived in fantastic condition, will definitely order more trees from him. I'd love to collect some different potted fruit trees for my patio if you got some suggestions, especially for annona and mamey! Thank you for the videos.
Thanks for the videos Paul!!! I heard Julian mention PSM for green mangos. Do you know how large this tree can get? Have a small space and would like this one
How do we purchases small trees from Paul ? I live in Southern California, & a 15 min drive from Malibu Beach. Mangoes grow easily in my area. I have many varietys.. grown from seeds, bearing fruit. 😊
I wish some of these knolegeble people you interview will speak more about what each type of mango prefers sun/shade , water/dry, colder or hotter temp etc…..
