Hopefully they switch to skiff bearings and all ti connector hardware in the future. Also the lockbar face is carbidized and provides a hard surface harder than a hardened insert and wears slower for longer lock life if done right. I have many great knives without inserts and all have been great. Really like my mcnees and definitely recommend the knife.
I just snagged a green/bronze frag pattern atomic/stonewash off NCBlade. I’m pumped. The green frag is the configuration I wanted. The jigged version is really enticing as well though. They never excited me too much until like a month or two ago. The thought of having one really grew on me.
@@doodysdaggersyea my first. It was gonna be between that or the rotten evo 4.0 and I had to go American Made, plus it was cheaper. I can tell before even having it in hand I’m going to love it. I got a lot of good edc knives but I have a feeling this one will take the cake.
Gotta say I like the jigging. Blade shape is good, but I'm disappointed in the lock bar not having the steel insert and there not being an over travel stop. Couple of big turn-offs for me. Good video. Thanks
Yea I bought the gen 2 today at EKnives because I've had multiple gen 1's with the magnacut hollow grinds and fantastic action! But I'm sad bad because no more hollow he went back to flat grind's and the detent break is longer with a ramp so u have to move the blade a mile then it drops. Very disappointing to me and very unsatisfying action. Gen 1s are far superior in action and blade grind!
@@doodysdaggersyeah pretty stout. I’ve had it for about a year and it’s gotten a little bit lighter but still by far the heaviest I’ve ever owned. I’ve pushed on the lockbar a little in the past but was afraid to do to much cause she ain’t cheap 😂
@@doodysdaggers they advertise the titanium hardware as made for them by ticonnector in montana. pretty sure the stock steel hardware is made in house. the bearings are the same 3/16th stamped steel ones a lot of usa knife makers use.
