I just bought a cable for some headphones (Sennheiser HD600) and the guy who made it happened to use Van Damme Cable, so was curious. Good to know you rate the cable, it wasn't expensive so it's nice to hear.
Hello, I wired my son's hd595 with this van damme star quad cable, this is one of the best cables van damme make, it takes around 500 hours to break-in, to reach optimum performance, thanks for commenting & watching.
Keep up the good work.Really enjoy your very informative videos.Ive always thought that cables were a rip off from these large companies.Ive just started using Belden electric cable for speaker wire and it seems to be working really well. How long do these cables take to burn in ? Kind regards Terry.
Hello Terry, speaker cable, usually takes around 300-500 hours of listening before they reach optimum performance, I hope this is helpful & thanks for watching.
Hello mate, love your videos, could you please tell me if this sort of cable could be used to make a balanced headphone cable for the hd800 and will you ever be doing a tutorial video for a balanced cable, thanks.
Hello, this cable is perfect for balanced cables & yes you can use it as a headphone cable, I've used this cable on my son's HD595's, you need to run this cable in for around 500 hours, to get it to sound the best, I hope this is help & thanks for watching.
Great video! Would that specific cable be good for audiophile RCA interconnects for car amplifiers? Or is there a better van damme cable better suited?
this is a bit late as i've just found this video, but the definition of an 'unbalanced' cable means it only has a single conducter for the center pin on the plug. 2 or more conductors, like this cable, is balanced
Can you please direct me to where I can buy some silver filled copper conductor wire for speaker wire construction. I am having a difficult time finding the exact one you were using. I appreciate it
Just found your channel ... love it ! . i need a digital coax for between cd player and DAC , do you have recommended cable for that purpose .. I believe it should be a different spec than ordinary interconnects ... thanks ..( a vid would be great ! )
Hello, here's a link to a excellent off the roll digital cable 75 ohms, its none stranded one you need, thanks for the kind word's & thanks for watching www.vdctrading.com/shop/van-damme-cable/analogue-video/Transmission-Grade-11mm-Triax-Camera-Cable/van-damme-transmission-grade-11mm-triax/
Great video could you please tell me if you use this as a speaker cable could you cut the jacket off it and put ptfe tape over with braid also would u ground it to your amp thank you Michael
Hello Michael, if you want to use it for Speaker cable, you will need 6 lengths to build up the size, so what I would do, is cut the jacket off of 3 lengths, twist the 3 together, then wrap ptfe tape around, then join the 3 braids together, & then gound them, so 3 for negative and positive, if you get what I mean, thanks for commenting and watching👍
@@michaeldauskursas3958 this cable is excellent, look on ebay for it, www.van-damme.com/vandamme_product/van-damme-transmission-grade-11mm-triaxial-camera-cable/
lol getting them cryogenically treated makes 0 difference to the sound. I cant believe some people fall for that bs. While cryogenically treating the increases the electrical conductivity it only does that while it cold, as soon as the cables warm back up to room temperature the benefit is lost so you would need have the cables submerged in LN2 indefinitely. And cables do not need to be broken in ffs.
Think he said it was for preservation of the cable. Just need to get two cables - 1 which has been used for 50 hours and a 2nd which is unused and A/B compare the two.
