For those wondering, I would warm up before a tournament. Unfortunately there was no range. With that being said, this was one of the better rounds of my life. Hope you guys enjoy!
I'm curious, was this the planned video on the day you forgot your clubs and turned it into a rental club challenge? BTW - nice Zac Radford style pin slammer on 17 :)
I now you've mentioned some back issues previously. I sure hope you're trying to at least do some stretching and loosen it up before playing - don't mess with your back!
YES GRANT!! Great video my fellow brother of the lord! I have to say, the best part of the video is when you popped up from behind that rock on the 3rd hole 🤣. Keep up the great work sir. If you are ever in Southern California let me know, I’m a 3 handicap and would love to play a round with a fellow believer 🙏⛳️
I just learned something VERY IMPORTANT from Grant. He lipped out on number 1. According to him the "worst" lip out of his life. Yet, when they cut to him on the number 2 tee box, he talked about the "stress free, tap in par" he just had on number 1. I just paused the video to think about this for a second. He is constantly teased about the lip outs he has had in the past, and he just had what he considers the worst one of his life. Yet, he chose to create the mindset that it was a stress free tap in par....a positive rather than a negative. Had he chose to focus on the lip out that robbed him of a birdie on number 1, this video could have easily been titled "One of the Worst Rounds of Golf in My Life." Good On Ya Grant! I am going to try to remember the importance of self talk and mindset on my next round......I would love to see a Good Good Labs lesson on mindset and learn how you create a mindset that helps you rather than one that hinders you.
One of the most positive golfers on RU-vid. Always smiling and going on to the next shot without dwelling on the last shot, good or bad. Look forward to your videos and sharing with us how you see each shot. Shout out to your cameraman for awesome video.
Love the individual rounds where you show us your energy and excitement at simply playing golf...effects me the same way! Collabs are great, but this feels intimate and genuine! Thanks
Grant is the most unintentionally funny person I have ever seen, he’s hilarious and he just has such a great attitude. He’s my favorite golfer in Good Good, plus I just think he’s an awesome guy.
MOAAARRRR rounds Grant. Love watching! Since watching you play and your video's, I feel my tempo has changed and I'm striking the ball better than ever.
I'm glad you said it ! You left some birdies out there Grant . But , i'm pretty sure every golfer walks off the course saying , "man , if i could've done ... this or that" ... ❤
Grant, you're legitimately my favorite golfer rn. I'm notorious for swinging too hard/fast, and every time I watch your swing I realize I don't need 300mph club head speed to hit good shots. This video was extremely fun to watch, considering there were times you had to grind, which I'm not used to seeing from you lol. Love your attitude on the course man! Happy go lucky even when you get a bad break. Something we all can learn from! If you're ever in FL let's play! Keep the content coming and crush those stumps!!!
Watched this last night before my round this morning. Gave me a lot of confidence and went out and shot my best round today. Great video Grant, and thank you for giving us some confidence to go out and just play good golf
Great round and great attitude as always Grant. Especially after the lipout on one. Easy to put fellas into a funk. But some bad luck will often even out with the goodluck!! Top notch consistency!!
Right on brother, swing is so smooth thus more fairways and greens hit in reg. All the made par putts kind of made up for the missed birdies so in my book a super round. Great video, love the 18 hole video, you gotta do more!! Blessings to you from Richard in Cosby, east Tennessee. POSITIVE VIBRATIONS!
Grant just wanted to say that watching u has taught me so many things mindset wise and golf wise, keep up the great work and I hope to see more videos like this
2:05 - 'The hole after this, you've got to hit an iron off the tee...' Garrett: I'm gonna use the driver. Bubbie: I think I can putt this; a little dink-dink scoot-scoot Matt: Give me the frying pan. Tammy's gonna be pissed.
Love Stevens Park! Great throwback course that makes you use just about every club in the bag. The view of Dallas from the 16th green is wild. Enjoying your content sir! Keep up the great work!
Great content. The editing is very good. Keeps the interest piqued. I saw a comment that said just watching Grant play improved his game by just watching him. I think there's something to that. Really like Grant's attitude and ability to keep bouncing back. Good stuff!
I think you learned a valuable lesson on the very first hole...ALWAYS take the pin out..BECAUSE it makes us hit the putt just a little firmer than normal. Great playing Grant on your way to Route 66!.... and your attitutde is best in class!
You were out there having fun and I think that always helps. Being such a mental game, mood enhances or hinders play. Your positivity would take 5 strokes off my game. I also love playing fast and play better when there's no one in front of me. I don't care who is behind me or watching me as long as I can pull up to a ball, range it, practice swing, and hit it all within 2.5 minutes. Lol but really, it does help some of us play better.
If you want to take your range swing to the course, practice how you play!!!. Don't just hit balls one after the other, after all, you can't do that on the course? The first thing I teach my beginners, and advanced players is how to practice correctly. They are given a practice plan based on their skill levels. The practice plan is what trains them to take their range swing to the course. Find a PGA coach who can do the same for you. As well as learning how to swing the club, you need to train your mind on how to practice. Trust me, your game will improve leaps and bounds. Good luck.
I thought this was a good good video until the end and saw that I wasn't subscribed. Well I am now, keep up the great work. I love watching all of you guys content. Thanks for putting it out there for us to get motivated.
Great video I like you talking though every shot. Course Managment and how you feel you hit each shot. Really enjoy it. Look forward to some more great video!
Stevens has always been a shotmaker's course and you, friend, are a shotmaker. Great choice for a course. Great content. So happy to see someone play my favorite course the way it should be played!
Well done Grant. Solid 66. Stevens Park is such a gem and a treasure. Originally designed by Jackie Burke, Sr (a Texas golf legend) in 1924, the course was cleaned up and renovated in 2011. The square greens were an architectural feature frequently used in the early 1900's.
Really impressed with how you've managed to tone down that massive draw the past few months with some swing changes. The new driver is a big improvement as well.
Wow!! Grant, that was awesome. I know you feel like you missed out on some strokes, but that was one solid round. You definitely got the head game for tournament golf.
Awesome round man! Just want to say it was great to catch you at the PGA Championship this weekend. You are a lot taller in person. Haha. Love you man. Keep doing what you're doing.
I work at a golf course and I hate when people mess up the greens on purpose and have no respect for the guys that take care of the courses so people can play golf...thanks grant for all you do I've learned alot from you and all the guys of Good Good
Thanks for your hard work on the courses we play, much appreciated. You and your fellow greenskeepers are the unsung heroes of this beautiful and challenging sport!!
Well Done! Great to see you taking it low and bombing drives and dropping bombs on the green. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. It's said golf doesn't build character it reveals it, seems your focus on the shot at hand and putting the last hole in the past good or bad is keeping you in the here and now. I look forward
Just played Steven's Saturday! Not the longest course by any means but cool view of downtown Dallas. Great little patio where you can watch players come up #9. I had a touch chip on #9 that I was able to get up and down and I got some golf applause from the gallery. Touched the brim of my hat like the pros do...was a pretty cool feeling.
Sweet swing. Grant I like that you don’t seem to have an agenda you just go out and love to play. Sincere entertainment I guess you could say. Love your channel and the whole Good squared gang is dope. Keep doing your thing brother.
I just got home from a round im 16 and I just had my best round a 73 one over par and I’m so happy and nothing better than watching grant play some good golf right after I’m done keep up the vids I love ‘em and so does everyone else lol!
i also do claw grip on closer putts and traditional for long putts/off the green putts… never noticed that you do it too Grant but now it makes me feel more secure about my weird methods lol
Maybe my favorite course I played while in Dallas, such a cool throwback design with the squared off greens. You made it look so much easier than it actually is! Hole 15 is the best view of downtown Dallas in the city. Go try cedar crest next
Grant, instead of playing in a round "like a tournament" I'd like to see you play in a real tournament Seeing you tee it up in a mini tour event and cash a check would be hype
@@JewandGreek Well there is a difference between being a professional golfer and playing in a few mini-tour events a year to generate interesting content
@@dfwait14 I don't agree with that. I love Grant's swing, especially his tempo. But I still think Micah's game is a bit more built for tournament success.
Was out today in Ontario, walking up to the green on the 9th, a massive thunderstorm runs through. Had to be small tornados, multiple places were damaged and trees down everywhere. We just made it back to the car in time to put the clubs away and hop in. Was the most insane storm i have ever been in. Glad we were on the 9th or we would have been screwed. Rain check for me, great game by you. Even with the little troubles you had, your other shots on the holes were bomb, and a bit of luck lets not lie XD
