I answer some questions about how I prefer to truck camp while TRAVELING and TURKEY HUNTING every SPRING. This has worked for me over the years. This will help you save money & be more effecient with your time & space. Hopefully, you will be able to stretch your dollars a little more and sit to a few more GOBBLERS.

The things you gain by driving is adventure!!! You get to see and experience America!!! The small towns, the back roads, the people. You have your own vehicle!! Soooo many pluses to driving but mainly the adventure

I forgot to show where I store them. That big orange back serves as my clothes bag. Also serves as my leg rest when sleeping. Changed everything this winter though and I’ll have a video out on my new setup soon.

I always love seeing how everyone else travels. Great video. For one person for that amount of time, driving is no doubt the way to go. For a week-long trip, costs could be a toss-up depending on flights vs fuel prices. You can carry essential camp gear in a checked bag, along with a cooler and gun/bow case. Traveling with two people cuts down on everything, but flight costs too. Time might be the most significant deciding factor, though. If you’re in a time crunch, flying might be the best method. If you’ve got plenty of days, especially if you’re solo, then hit the pavement. Either way, travel hunting is so gat dang fun!

Great video brotha. It hits home because I basically do the same thing, I just don't leave Florida....yet!!! But I camp and hunt outta my truck for up to two weeks sometimes so I can relate big time. One thing I need to be better at is having truck parts and get my spare tire fixed. I blew a tire Saturday night back in the woods squirrel hunting and turkey scouting. Spent the night in the woods, luckily I have everything in my truck EXCEPT a spare tire 🤦🤦.

Flying is by far more expensive when it comes down to. But if we are honest cheap/expensive are relative terms to one’s financial status. I spent as much in a (3) day trip to Washington and Idaho last year as i did (2) weeks driving to Ok,TX and NM. My wife didn’t think it was cheap, for either trip. Lol

We drive everywhere. I think last year I spent maybe $350, tags included, to go to Alabama and Oklahoma. I did bring a nice bottle of bourbon to Oklahoma, so maybe it was $400. But it was cheap.

@zacharyparkeroutdoors5894 it can but even at 5 11 I sleep with my feet bent and propped up on pillows. When I need to stretch my legs I just move them over to the steering wheel and stretch em then place them back raised on the pillows.
