I remember going to the old Parramatta City Raceway, and seeing a young 21yr old named Jac Hayden's Hildebrand race with some bloke called Kinser, Steve I think his first name was. And another joker called Doug Wolfgang, they were also over your way that year, and raced at the old Clairmont Raceway, which, if I may say so, had 10x the charm and was just been dick longer than this track. And just by the by, they were by no means the first Sepo's to race Sprintcar in Australia. Just the first WoW team.

Mate, you blokes have been come "down" (not up mate) to race Sprintcars over here since the 1970s, and Midgets since the 1940s. You blokes making your way to our shores is nothing at all new. But what is relatively new-ish,is the WoW sending a team year on year, since 1981. WoW in Australia is nothing new mate, and your ALWAYS welcome. We'll even keep you a cold 🍺 beer!!

In 1980 or 81 at Big H Motor Speedway in Houston I saw Steve Kinser, Sammy Swindell and Doug Wolfgang battle for 35 laps. The lead changed between the three of them at least six or seven different times. Swindell came away with the win followed by Kinser and Wolfgang. When the race was over nobody wanted to leave the track, they wanted to stay and digest what they had just seen. That was the greatest show on dirt that I’ve ever seen and I’ve been watching sprinters since the mid 60’s. This race was every bit as good.
