I don't know the artist or song. However, what I do know is that Thom's "how to guitar videos" are the absolute best on YT! Hope that you and your family are doing well Thom!
Joan Osborne sang with the Motown Funk Brothers and was featured in the 2002 documentary "Standing in the Shadows of Motown." Two of my favorite Joan Osborne Motown renditions include Heatwave and What Becomes of a Broken Heart? She does a bang-up job on each. You can find the songs on RU-vid and Spotify. Thank you Guitar Pilgrim. Love your videos. Keep them coming. sw (subscriber and guitarist for almost 50 years - I don't know if that's good or bad! 😎)
Disagree on the open strum. Depends on the song, of course, but it's a Lennon shortcut that has gone away for the most part, as playing ability has increased😊
@@halcooper3070 Try watching them play especially live recordings. Keith Richard’s on his open G tuning did them a lot. The problem is you are saying playing ability has increased since Lennon. As he was a shite player using him as an analogy is pretty piss poor of you. There were players even in his own band that were better than him. Who are these players that are better than BB King, Clapton, Gilmour, Hendrix, Santana etc. You major theme is full of holes.
@classicraceruk1337 yeah, you're not understanding what he's saying. Open tunings are quite different. He's talking about.interspersing open strums with standard tuning. Something hendrix, Clapton et al.never did. Stop talking, learn to play guitar, and we'll talk.
