I love how you put the bass in "real life" situations instead of all these reviews that just play a basic line while mechanically turning knobs. Fantastic review, thanks Marcelo !

Excellent explanations! That sounds like a very versatile bass! I like the old Diamond Series Jazz Bass with EMGs I got from them...what sold me on it was it's ability to come close to Marcus's tone. Thanks for sharing this! It's nice to know Schecter is still innovating!

It's ALL the electronics. How the instrument plays and feels . . . whole different game. Fretwork tells the story. Most instruments at this price level have crap fretwork.
@57precision
@57precision 3 года назад
@@relaxingsounds1386 I get this is not a premium instrument, but it isn't exactly cheap at over $1300 for the 5 string. For that price you're getting a ton of features, and it's the only bass with Fishman's unless you count the broken (and way more expensive) Spector Dimension. With these Korean instruments you have to realize that it's a value proposition, and corners will be cut. As long as you budget to have it plek'd or otherwise take it to your luthier if any bad frets reveal themselves then I think it could be a good deal.

Awesome video man. One of the Schecter’s I have is a Schecter CV-4 and I love it. Solid bass, and honestly really versatile. One of the things I love about it is how the pick ups are arranged. They’re Schecter-J humbuckers. Which alone have their own sound, but also the neck pick up is slightly further from the neck (also 22 frets) so I have plenty of room for slap/double thumb plucking.

You are absolutely right with the "one volume control" thing. This is why I love MusicMan basses. Hint: Even when doing heavy lines, please try and play a bit slower. The first Megadeth line was great, but nobody was able to get the tone, just "pluckity-pluck". The humbucker-setting on this bass is awesome. In every tonal option.

Hi Marcelo, great video. I am close to pulling the trigger on an SLS Elite 4 Evil twin. Love the looks, and based on your review and a few others the pickups seem to be extremely versatile so that is great. Have the 5 string version, it will sound like just about anything! Can even get a relatively convincing justin chancellor tone from it, which is quite a feat.
