I'm a black man that used to be a liberal and thought that America was the worst, until I moved and lived in a third world country. Our level of poverty in America is a level that most people currently living and who have lived, will never obtain. Now I'm a Trump supporter and I love my country.
> Our level of poverty in America is a level that most people currently living and who have lived, will never obtain. That is not remotely as clear as you intended, in fact it's more easily read to mean the opposite of what you meant. Cause bro is sounds like you're saying we're so poor it's impossible for most people to be this poor.
@@Gnaritas42 i dont think i can think of any other country that allows homeless to sqaut in owned homes, free of rent. thousands of migrants have moved here homeless and being moved into shelters, given phones, and given budgeting through the city they are occupying.
Sowell preaches the BS that anti black folks like to hear. They can then deny the impact of 190 out of 248 years of anti black policies in the US and feel comfortable blaming the bottom caste status of blacks on them!
Well when a person gets murdered in camera THAT does tend to get people’s attention in ways that going around talking about stuff does not. Let’s not try to downplay the tragic experience of a lynching victim.
Floyd wasn't lynched. It has been proven he died of a drug overdose. Both the prosecutor and the judge knew it. The guys who were lynched were the cops by all the black racists like you.
I read a lot of responses in the feed and decided to respond on this one , because I can totally agree with what is said here. I am a white guy who thinks Thomas Sewell is a national treasure for his intelligence. I wish more Americans would read his works, or at least listen to him on utube. He gives facts on issues. Which is missing from what is being taught in schools. No matter what the truth is people need to hear truth instead of convenient myths, to hide what was done.
LOL. So true. I just think they get overly excited at some of the things they are watching. But that is certainly not a bad thing as long as that energy is projected toward something positive. I would be proud to have any of these young men as my son. They might not look like me but I'd be the proudest Dad on the planet because they are making good decisions and not falling into the trap of group think. It's not easy to swim against the tide and these young men were doing that well before the rest of their peers finally opened their eyes.
They both used to appear on Friedman's "Free to Choose" show, so you can see both Sowell and Friedman appear on some RU-vid clips from that show. They both always obliterate the other's side of the debate :)
I'm a white woman in my 60's, I'll bet these young men doing this video have way more money than I do. People can do anything no matter the color of their skin. It's all in their character, integrity, and respect for themselves and others !! You guys keep up the good work and never let money or fame go to your head or change your heart.
They are making a lot of money pandering to the anti black populace in this country. Its been the tried and true way for black folks to get rich quick!
The smartest man I've ever met was my Psychiatrist and when complaining about all my problems in life he told me, "you have to play the cards you're dealt." It sucks hearing that but man is it the truth.
@@NYShepherdGirl you can't change the parents you were born to and the experiences you went through. Those are your cards and you either have to play them or just sit with em. I’m with you. I’m not “white” but I’m Greek and Puerto Rican and I too grew up without a dad with two siblings. It was the hardest life, a sh*t show. However, we both made it out alive. And to answer the dude who asked you if you got your fathers story.. hahaha to him.. fathers story was “they weren’t there!” Dude wants to make an excuse for men not being there for kids.
I could listen to Thomas Sowell all day. The man is a thinker. I never even heard about him in school. I learned about him from my dad watching his interviews back in the day.
One of America's greatest hidden treasures! Still super sharp even at his advanced age. Check out his debate with Buckley on Firing Line I think? It's from the 70s and he is sharp as a tack! Big Sowell fan😂 Much love from SC!
Have you guys checked up on Thomas Sowell's good friend, Walter E. Williams RIP. He taught economics at George Mason University. I was reading the books of these two giants of American back in the 90s
I agree on Dr Williams, and have to throw Milton Friedman into the mix. Friedman was a teacher and mentor to Sowell, and Sowell was a friend and mentor to Williams.
@@bobprivate8575 absolutely. I think Friedman is the most influential economist of the 20th century. Of course, that also includes this quarter century

Half a million blacks have been murdered all across Africa in the last several years, but you won’t hear anything about that in the main stream media. My cousin spent 6 years in Haiti , trying to keep an orphanage and school open and funded. She had to escape in the middle of the night because gangs were killing whites wherever they found them. And the killing has only gotten worse since. As a 73 year old white woman, I hope for your continued success, and I can’t only pray Thomas Sowell, one of my heroes, lives a very long life, and teaches more people your age wisdom.
I have been saying this for years . There are a lot of countries where people get killed . But the media only chooses some to talk about. I don't think the average person really sees what is going on .there in a bubble
Sadly, when the 2030 census reveals whites are actually only 30% of America, hunting whites will intensify to that level there as well: Haiti, Zimbabwe, South Africa, America, and its already begun in (western) Europe, their cities are already non-European. This why another world war is inevitable, because of the power vacuum that will be caused by America's collapse into a dysfunctional 3rd world, which will hasten Europe's collapse. 🤷
Well, when economy get bad, people try to find a scapegoat, and it's same how in western countries they blame emmigrants, in Africa they blame non-blacks, be it whites or other non-black africans (north african, touarges, arabs ..etc)
There is still slavery in Africa! If you feel oppressed in The United States of America 🇺🇸, that’s on you! I made it out of hell, my childhood, and made it on my own no help! Anyone can do it!
Me too. If you feel oppressed that is on you. I am 52 years old and NEVER in my life have felt oppressed. I was born poor at home to a young girl.I was close to my father who was present from the beginning . I took that adversity and made it work for me. I will not die that way, also I married, graduated from college, had children, raised my children and I have a wonderful life and I am brown skinned, a woman, and an American. I cannot imagine living in another country. I have traveled and lived abroad and interacted with many people, Black people in America are actually the most privileged Black people on this planet.
There are more slaves around today than during the Atlantic slave trade days. In America and most countries. Sex slaves being the biggest portion and unfortunately to many are children. Organ harvesting, sex trade, labor workers, and even some drug runners. Most Americans don’t even want to think about it cuz the evil powerful ones want us fighting eachother over racism, oppressors, DEI, 10 thousand different genders and sexuality, right, left, religion, foreign wars we have instigated, and other bs so we pay no attention to the evil around us. People always want to bring up slavery from the past, unless you bring up white slaves, but ignore the slavery going on today. Sad. Team victims…. Screw that. I wanna be on team victory and save the slavery happening today.
In south east Asia and South America too. Some say even here in UsA and I know my friends mom worked 35 yrs ago for cold food storage facilities and there were migrants working under stolen dead Americans SS cards and working for nearly free under one South American man who housed and controlled them and took most their money. This practice I’m sure still exists and many companies ignore it
My father was in the military, we lived in many foreign countries. When i was 10-12 years of age we lived in the Philippines. I saw most people living in abject poverty. I was so happy to come back to the US where hope and possibility could lead to prosperity. Perspective is a powerful.
I'm 72 and grew up in Asia in the 1950s. I know for a fact that as an old woman living alone in the US, I am living in the most blessed situation in history for people like me. I live "small," but I have cable (just think about that).
My family is from West Africa. I’m a first generation American. The viewpoints are COMPLETELY different. If you’re in America and you choose to not get an education, you’re shunned in our societal groups and will be deemed useless. We weren’t even taught about slavery until school. It’s upsetting and annoying to talk about that to my relatives because they just do not feel like it’s a factor right now. Push yourself (get therapy if need be) to be at your best!
@@TelManothHexperax I respectfully disagree. There’s an overwhelming desire to be aware of the past, but not let it stop efforts to excel in life. I’m willing to bet that’s why Nigerian immigrants have such an incredibly high rate of academic achievement compared to other ethnic immigrants in the U.S. The knowledge of the past appears to cripple some, leading to what seems to be a psychological inability to refrain from creating life altering barriers that get blamed on white people & oppression. Whole time a lot of it is self inflicted. 🤷🏾♀️

I'm so pumped that black men are fed up and starting to come to their own conclusions. I'm excited to see what systems and ideas are coming from average people. Also, the CIA is who started shipping cocaine into LA where it was cooked down into crack. The crack epidemic was caused by the CIA, and so was the heroin during the Vietnam war.

Thomas Sowell is a national treasure. I learned about Thomas Sowell from Rush Limbaugh. Rush loved and admired Sowell and always recommended his audience to read his books and listen to his interviews.

I love how I can see the wheels turning, (the looks on your faces) as you learn new to you things! I'm a teacher at heart so I love to see people change how they interact with others around them as they learn!
Let me tell you one story, I am a brown legal immigrant millennial, I was introduced to Thomas Sowell by a white conservative boomer, who most Democrats will think he will be racist but he told me about this man.
Percentage wise, 8.6% of White Americans live in poverty, compared to 17.1% of Black Americans. Numbers wise, 17 million White Americans line in poverty compared to 7.2 million Black Americans. There are a lot more White Americans who are broke than there are Black Americans. It's not a competition and there is nothing to win, but just going by percentages it gives a skewed view. The reality is that for every Black American living in poverty, there are 2.5 White Americans. Poverty is not something exclusive to any one race.
When 75% of black babies are born to single mothers it increases the amount of poverty! Whites have lower single motherhood so the poverty by percentage is lower. When 75% of white babies are born to single mothers the poverty rates will be statistically equal
@@tennisplayer5490 #1 thing that could change the plight of poor blacks is to wait to have children until AFTER you’re married. Child, of any color, in a fatherless home is ‘statistically’ way more apt to drop out of HS, abuse drugs/alcohol, join a gang, have sex at a young age, get pregnant or get someone pregnant, involved in criminal activity, go to jail. How’s that stat for you??? Also, it’s almost impossible to build generational wealth if you’re from a single parent home.

Im from Australia and last year we had a referendum, called the Voice, where the indigenous claimed that their skin colour and colonialism was the reason for disparity in outcomes. I was trying to push the words and quotes of Thomas Sewell and was ridiculed. The indigenous population would go nuts to hear him call them "stone age" "backwards due to isolation" and "hadn't discovered iron even though they sat on large deposits of iron ore." Thomas Sewell can get away with saying those things, but when I suggested these things i was called a racist and told Im ignorant.... 🤦♂️
@-whackd the response from the indigenous population is that they didn't need the wheel. There weren't any large animals to domesticate and put wagons onto and they didn't have material possessions that they needed to transport. They were nomadic and didn't need to move large rocks to build permanent structures. Apparently they didn't need the wheel or written language or the need for iron tools. And they wonder why there is a discrepancy in outcomes and blame it on colonisation when its clear that even before a white man set foot on Australia, there was a vast gap in the technological and social structures between the two cultures. If you listen to the indigenous population they lived a utopian dream until the white man came with their wheel and language and food preservation methods and permanent structures and social structures that allows all to share in the commonwealth. And that would be true if you ignored the fact that the indigenous Australians are also migrants who set up colonies and murdered raped and plundered other indigenous nations before the arrival of the white man. Why is the finger being pointed at the white man for repairations when the indigenous population engaged in the same actions against each other?
My wife teaches kindergarten. Every year she has a kid or two from Nigeria. They are always the smartest and the hardest working students and they have two parents who care and are together and out work everyone. They are black and are better than the white students. They don’t identify with American born blacks and they don’t want to be associated with them. It is wild.
Is this the anti Freedmen forum?! Those Nigerian kids wouldn’t be in this country if we, black Freedmen, hadn’t fought in 60s to undo the racist 1924 immigration act which limited immigrations to Europeans only. Lots of white are happy to hv black immigrants in US because they have no claim on US and haven’t lived through the 190 years of slavery and abt black discrimination that Freedmen have.

Gratitude and thankfulness is a key to happiness and joy. Paul said it when he proclaimed he knew what it was to be happy in plenty or in lack. I’ve had both. My attitude had the power to ruin my happiness in either place.
It is never “smarter” to rent a home when buying a home is equally viable. The people who say they would rather rent than buy a home, even when the economy is favorable to homeownership, are simply afraid of the increased responsibility.
Or do not have a good track record of stable income. You can be living in a good economy and still be jumping from job to job because of skill or health factors (or other externals). Not everyone is a stable employee so a lot of people don't have the confidence of keeping up with payments on a house for 20-35 years. I pitty the people who bought in NYC or LA and have to live in the post pandemic times of debauchery and inflation.
Buying property is a big financial risk which can be affected by so many circumstances beyond your control. Each person has to weigh up the risks and make a personal decision. When I hear of all the homeowners who are now living in tents on the street, people’s paid up homes being sold from under them by HOAs and scammers, losing their homes because they can’t afford the land taxes charged by the government, I don’t blame people for choosing to rent.
I agree with that 100%, I rented for 10 years before buying my first house (saving pennies for a down payment). You figure what you're paying for rent (that's your mortgage), then buy the littlest house you can in the best neighborhood you can find that little house in. Take care of it. It will appreciate. A few years, maybe 10, later, you sell and move up. Rinse and repeat. Then put every cent into getting rid of your mortgage. Bingo, you're sailing into old age with a lovely paid-off home (which means all your retirement money is yours). That, my friends, is how it is done. If you rent all your life, you'll still be renting when you die with zero to show for it.
@@karenk2409 And why would that matter? You’re dead! I'm an older white British guy and like to see younger people like this family thinking for themselves and not just following whatever some politician tells them. The idea behind the word "systemic" is to artfully justify the perpetual study of an issue without ever showing progress or even resolving it. Doing this allows them to "own" the issue; to be the authority on the issue, and with that authority, become the authors of new manufactured issues.

Absolutely! The minute you start whining, you stop and go nowhere. I am 72, absolutely do not hang out with the "oppressed elderly." Yes, everyone seems to have contracted the virus. Yes, if we are lucky enough to get to old age, we are going to start deteriorating and eventually die - surprise. Look up "The Pintupi Nine " ! "In 1984 a group of Australian Aboriginal people living a traditional nomadic life were encountered in the heart of the Gibson desert in Western Australia. They had been unaware of the arrival of Europeans on the continent, let alone cars - or even clothes."
There is a side to this conversation that isn't really relevant but I think is worth observing. I have seen many baby boomers attain a good life and wealth. However if their kids didn't have to struggle and EARN something (especially self respect) they also never learned how to appreciate and manage that wealth they inherited. History is full of extremely wealthy families that had kids that eventually ruined everything given to them. We all truly need to earn our way though life.

If you believe that the Dems stole the election in 2020, then there's no reason to believe they won't succeed again. Literally nothing has changed since then. If you think the election was stolen, there's literally no point to voting in November. More drastic actions need to be taken.
Amen to that. But, I'll say this, if the fix was a certainty they wouldn't be working so hard to get Trump locked up or off ballots. They're pulling out all the stops due to fear of this election, so that should ease your mind somewhat cuz it's obviously not a lock for them. It's important we get involved in local elections to keep an eye on things too. I'll add you to my prayers, pray & in the end God wins. God bless you
