Cruise the A we called it back in the mid 70's. One such fellow owned a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner with the grabber hood option and the beep beep horn. The car was a pistol grip 4 speed but had a white interior bench seat. The car looked and sounded great with the 383 4 barrel on the manual transmission. All blue with orange mean eyes on the vacuum action hood grabber option. Really neat car. One year I was on the bench with a gal we were serving Jury duty and noticed she had the same last name of the dude I know with the 69 Roadrunner. I asked her if by chance she was related and she replied why yes he is my husband and yes he still has that car. I think she said he would get rid of me over that car I swear. Great times cruising the A and just hanging out together.
My high school received a donated chrysler motor division plymouth roadrunner in 1969 it was being delivered by train and was damaged by a lite pole they cut the car in half and put brass tags on every body panel 0.3 tenths of a mile on speedo 426 street hemi and 4 sod plus Dana rearend blue on blue and redline bias ply tires awesome sounding engine!

I certified hope you don't drill all the spot welds out of the frame, to Do a frame off restoration. Only generic motors around the same year have a flaccid, spaghetti body on a flimsy weak frame.

I’ll never comprehend how these people never stop to think that phosphoric acid is something good to put on metal-esp a rare car’s body panels. It’s an acid- it is literally removing metal - both good and bad. Vinegar can help remove rust oxidation- but is still etching the good metal and grinding the shit off- 🤷🏼♂️
I would have left it just like that and got it running you just don't see him one of 12 what the hell get a new vinyl roof stop the cancer right there rebuild the motor sandblast underneath of it and stop the cancer a little more primer underneath and paint it that's it leave everything else alone just me no disrespect to the channel how many of us would die to have that car God bless you all
I'm confused as to whether this is supposed to be an A12 1969 1/2 440+6 bbl with lift off hood 🤔. At the start it has a fiberglass lift off hood. Then later it has the standard steel hood that a Hemi car would have. I know it's an easy swap, but please explain this in the video. I assume it was raced with the fiberglass hood, hence the low mileage.
If it really had 40k miles you should have cleaned it and made it into a OG survivor - (looks more like 140k miles in reality) not sure these cars going to be worth that much anymore. Few young people are interested especially as we transition to EV's
Problem is this car is a Dodge/Plymouth. The lines are square and boxy. Junk basically. I will take my 70 SS Chevy MC over that with the nice front end, tail lights and body. GM had the lines. And, the best motors, Trans and rear ends. Nothing like a 70 GM in any classification. Any Italian American knows that!
