Their name came from One O'clock, the time when they start the band when they were young and practice in 1AM cos the studio is very cheap to rent on that time
I didn't understand their name in the first place until I found out that their name came from "One O'clock" the time that the band used to practice in their early days FYI, the band been around 17 years they formed in 2005

It is actually One O'clock, but the prononciation in japanese english sounds like One Ok Rock. And as some people already said, it come from the time they rehearsed at the studio on their early years together. They always went to the studio at that time. It is already more than 17 years since then. So they are not a young rock band anymore ^^;
Men, that’ve been around since 2006 xD Taka run away from home, while Toru convinced his childchood friend Ryota to learn play the base and stalked Taka untill he agreed to come to their band practice - they were what, all around 17 years old. Yes, they are still around, relising 3 new song last/this year and Netflix documentary, they have a few festivals planned in Japan and Australia this year, new sponsorship from Monster, and we are awaiting new album hopefully soon, all this to say they still kicking xD
