Yeah, you got the idea of this songs right. This song is for his friend that are going to get married. And the staff he brought him on the stage is the staff that proporse his girlfriend. The part 'Aishiteru yo' is the part meant 'I love you' that Japanese use this word for only very important or special person. In my thought its about story of getting married. I really love the part that say "us two became one" (i'm not really sure im going to translate it right to you,im so sorry)
