Sameeee. Before our band guitarist died, I always listen to OOR's songs. They helped me a lot while grieving. I wish I can watch them live and have a chance to shake their hands or have a picture with them.

it was the exact same way for me. their music has been helping me so much through the tough times since i first started listening to them. they make me hopeful and happy. i'm so thankful!

Used to be better back in the days. I understand that they need to adjust their sound to the modern viewers. But I sure do miss the old OOR.

@@tonyxiong4913 I understand and I share in your sentiments to a certain degree. There are times when I do miss the kind of sound and music they make before it had visibly kind of shifted from the rock/indie sounds of OOR to the more modern with a touch of pop rock. Those were literally gold, but I also do find myself enjoying the fact that they make such good music and produce all these awesome sounds in a genre or way that I wouldn't expect they would do so well. Also, I like the fact that I get to enjoy and listen a wide range or variety of OOR songs that incorporated and developed different styles and genre over time, but the essence and color of OOR, which was there since the beginning, is still present in their current music and style. I love how they took on that daunting challenge of improving themselves and developing their sound and just surpassing everyone's expectations in a good way and grow and just still love their own music after all these years, but still staying true to their roots and color as a band. But yeah, maybe somewhere in the future or sometime soon we get might get to listen to their classic sound. That would be very awesome, too :)

@@grey5931 I agree and somewhat disagree. I get it that they're changing and expanding their sound to cater the different audiences. But I feel like they have forgotten their root. When I listen to their newer songs it just don't hit me like I used to. But it could also be because i'm older now. Not much of a rock/metal head anymore. Haha..

@@tonyxiong4913 Maybe it really just boils down to each listener's preferences and the context/the time that a person listens to the song. I mean, preferences do change over time and songs that really hook a listener sm before may or may not give that same memorable experience a listener had years before hahaha still, whether or not it's what the listener prefers, good music will always be good music

@@tonyxiong4913 one of the OOR interviews been mention about this genre changes of their musics and Taka or Toru always answer the same thing 'One Ok Rock is not just rooted by one genres, we are have many genres, we could be in any genres to make people happy to listen to our songs' so practically, OOR were not meant for always do Rock or Metal songs like it used to before. Music is changing over the years but you had to accept their changes as well, it doesn't mean by releasing other genres of their songs were really bad. Maybe a lot people still didn't understand the vision of OOR were aiming for. Even in documentary all members said they just follow what Taka do, because he's really creative and know what he's doing

If you are a recent fan, you can listen from The beggining albun to the present, then go back to their more punk rock from before, they had a different style but lyrics and feeling are really deep and cool
