Nkrumah was way ahead of his generation. The plan was to invest in the independence of African countries to attain one Africa. The capital will be strategically located in the mineral rich DR Congo. Had he achieved this, Africa would have been a superpower and an unstoppablely formidable block.

And you see until the Nkrumah plan works I mean until the unity works Africa will never go forward you know why, because even if one country in Africa becomes highly developed that development is still not safe and côté d'Ivoire is a typical example the country was very nice but the war set it back decades. Mr. Farouk Wahab, equally educated, has the tendency to say too much to the point of shooting himself in the foot. On many tropics I am glued to my set to listen attentively to whatever Mr. Wahab has to say. There is something about Wahab that makes me uncomfortable, due to some of the pronouncements he would make. He would speak of Kwame Nkrumah with admiration for the man, that one would like to believe. But there are always undertones of disdain towards Kwame Nkrumah. Is it personal? Has he been coached or drilled to feel the way he does towards the great one? Because he "besits" so much knowledge, I wish I could like him but I can't. I feel the same way about him as I do Nunoo Mensah. A big question mark here. ?????????????????

Also, we as Ghanaians are very proud of native language and perhaps may explain why we couldn’t use one native language nationally. So we chose English and yes it’s a big mistake not to use our native language to learn. Global analysis confirms that most developed countries have one common language or use one language to learn and do business. In Ghana we use mainly 4 or 5 if we add English. If you listening to him and it makes sense to you compare that to any English topic that made sense to you, you will see mother tongue is without a doubt powerful than another language. I don’t know if Ghana was richer than all these countries you named but Ghana has rich natural resources but understand the colonialists don’t leave a country until they place a system that keep us dependent on them so they still get our resources for cheap. The coups and the corruption destroyed our economies and the instability make it difficult for loans and for investors to build the economy.

The use of the 'fatherland' could also be that Nkrumah was referring to Africa as a father continent. There are many African leaders with other lineage from the country that they are leaders: Felix Houphouet Boigny, Alasanne Ouatarra, Omar Bongo, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to mention a few . we know the artificial boundaries of African countries were created by Western Imperialist to divide and rule us with no regard for existing indegenious grouping boundaries at the time.
