The Canadian Goverment under Stephen Harper in 2014.Supportted coup. That over threw Victor Yanukovych the leader of Ukraine.Because he supported Ukraine staying neutral and not joining Nato. This is what started the war with Russia.Mqny of the world leaders has been on bad relationships with Canada every since. This is Trudeau's biggest problem.
lol he’s been pushing for years. Hard to advocate for your troops when the government has a completely different set of priorities and vision for the military.
Wish someone would really ask this general how he got his job Wonder why? I suggest you look into the 500 million dollar lawsuit against the Canadian armed forces and what the other generals refused to do And then out of nowhere sexual assault misconduct 🤔🤔🤔 Do some research
Don't mind me if I don't believe Bill Blair, it's his boss I don't trust at all. Funding for arms AND personnel would have to triple to get up to just adequate.
Theres 3 versions of the Cadpat now. Look at the French uniforms and then come back looking at the Canadian u will see we upgraded compared to them and other countries.
The Liberals in 2024 have once again clawed back Canada’s military budget. Since the end of WW2 both traditional governing parties, Liberals & Conservatives, have: reduced the size of the military, 2) failed to keep military equipment current, 3) failed to fix a broken procurement system, 4) failed to educate Canadians as to the connection between international trade with the EU & America & the military alliances of NATO & NORAD. Our allies need to call Canada out. Forcefully.
@@BumpyHumpyDumpy My years of service 1967-96. Back when Canada had a population of 20 million in 1967. I’m 3rd generation. My dad & x2 Uncles WW2 veterans on land sea & in the air. Incredible personal stories. My grandfather British Army before them. There will be no 4th or 5th generation. Canadian voters don’t want to make our military a priority & our 2 traditional governing parties don’t want to educate the Canadian electorate. So it falls to our allies to determine the consequences.
I've heard recently, but do not know, that at present only 18 of our 89 legacy CF-18s (delivery began in 1982) are air worthy. We have no air defense systems in the Canadian military. Our Canadian Surface Combatants are way over budget (need more competition than Irving & Irving???) and are now too heavy for their propulsion systems. Etc. Etc. What a mess.
Rhetoric could say that Canada is just steps away of having one of the most modern militaries in the world....ie everything that will be usable will have to be brand new.
I think there war way more than 18 airworthy Hornets currently in Canada. The 18 number though might apply to the former Aussie F-18s as all of them are still not in service.
Canada is a menber of Nato. But both the U.S.and Other Nato countries don't support Canada claim to the North West Passage. But under the days of the Soviet Union. They did support Canada's claim to North west Pasdage.Canada needs to exit Nato and be neutral .Like Ireland.
There’s a super villain across the across the Arctic Ocean from Canada who is presently causing havoc in Eastern Europe. Canada’s political backbone with regard to Arctic sovereignty and general national defence is gelatinous.
