Keldon definitely reminds me of a young Manu. Someone who isn't afraid of driving to the basket or making an awe-inspiring hustle play. Always works hard, supports his teammates, and is willing to make any necessary sacrifices for the overall betterment of the team
Keldon was our best player last year, a year where the rebuild seemed to be at its most crucial moment. A year where our record hit its lowest due to losing yet another core piece. That’s why I’m so excited for him to continue being part of this newer core, as this team turns it around. I think he’ll be a bigger part of it than others might guess.
@@Dezbood 5 months later and a lot of people are talking about trading Keldon. I do not want the Spurs to do that. I think he's a really good piece of our team. He feels like a Spur, like he gets our culture.
@@bradleylovej unfortunately I’ve seen people online say to trade him for over a year at this point. I got to watch him against Brooklyn in person earlier this month and he made so many awesome plays in a game that was close the whole time. He’s not perfect but his attitude is. I think Pop knows that.
@@bradleylovejI think that’s only thought of because of how they moved Murray.. I can see them keeping Keldon.. they’re a few pieces away from making noise
The writing is on the wall. Keldon will likely make the sacrifice of losing his starting position to help this team win. How serendipitous to have our GOAT 6th man sit down with our (probable) future 6th man. KJ is a Spur for life as far as I'm concerned.
I hope he stays with us forever. It would be so unselfish of him to sacrifice a starting position. But I can't blame him if he doesn't want to. He's very talented and could be a starter on most teams for like 10 years. Let's see. But he's a humble kid.
I think it'll depend on the matchup but even based on preseason whenever wemby went out the offense fell apart even with Devin, having such a huge scoring threat with Keldon will help the offense flow a lot better when wemby or Devin can't get going
I bought Keldon’s jersey while our team was at the bottom of the league. That’s how much faith I have in him. Pop has been giving him as much spotlight and resources that a legendary coach can give, and Keldon has added to his game every single year. Last year’s hiccups as a roster have some people questioning Keldon’s role on the team, but I never stopped believing that he would be a part of this team’s next championship roster.
He needs to retire a Spur. If not for his absolute fire he plays the game with, how much he loves the team/city, he has to stay bc he’s the last real connection to the Kawhi era. It’s too poetic. He likely never will be a Kawhi level player (but again he’s only 23), but he’s already a great Spurs draft success story.
Transitioning the 6th man role?..... I love Manu and he is my all time favorite NBA player of all time... Embrace it Keldon and you will be come a fan favorite like Manuuuuu.... Big body can dominate the game from bench....
