I listen to this song often, reminds me of my twin brother that was taken too early, we shared many sunrises. I miss him greatly. We both loved music, and I turned him on to techno/ dance/edm, what ever you want to call it. We all find a meaning or relation to music, and this is my brother. Rest In Peace James.
we should all appriciate that our time is limited on this planet and enjoy it. every second is precious and unique. every sunrise is unique and perfect on its own.
I remember the first time I heard this song. I'm Canadian, but I was then living in The Netherlands for a few months, and on this day I had gone on a trip to Rotterdam for the day. In the train station I saw this album and picked it up and put it on on the way back to where I lived. It was such a gorgeous moment when this song came on and the train was going through some beautiful forested areas. I'll always remember that!
This is the song i put on when i was on the way to the hospital where my daddy was. I knew he didnt have much longer. This song will always be a part of me.
There's just something about this song that never fails to trigger that sense of melancholy nostalgia for this nondescript thing you've never had. Or just absolute perfection if you're drunk, riding in a car with a best friend listening.
Reminds me of the halcyon nights of London's 90s scene raving till sunrise. The dirty eclecticism of the 90's. What a time! Revolution between the headphones.
This track goes straight to the heart & spirit. This vid & song got me thru the most dark, bleak, nuclear winter of depression and near suicide after losing my son.... Things do get better. You WILL find peace but you must do so with no excuses and no blame-> it's on you and you alone. Love & forgiveness of self & others is the only way. Never give up.
2019 sept . my last day in Tokyo . my friend drove me to Haneda at 5 am . and we played this song in the car while driving there . and why did i do it . because of this awesome video . that was a beautiful beautiful new morning . it was a perfect sunrise
This album got me through one of my greatest depressions I've ever had, in summer 2004 when it was released. I had no history of depression, but for some reason that summer hit me so hard, for a variety of reasons. I felt I had no future, the feeling you have when you realize you haven't really accomplished anything. That you are just another rat in the great hamster wheel, and that nothing great was ever gonna happen to me. The weather that summer was also the worst I remember. The whole summer, including my vacation rained away. And all I had to go back to was my shitty job, a place full I people concerned with shallow, shitty things while thinking they're changing the world. Nowdays... I'm fine. Great things did happen. :)
This is literally the most perfect song possible. When it's finally time for me to die, I want to make sure that this is the last song I ever listen to before I kick the bucket.

I would heartily recommend Vibrasphere Ensueno 'Morning Mix'. Someone has a driving video on you tube with good sound. Stick with it, it gets really good if you listen through !
I listen to this very often. My oldest son introduced me to Orbital in the year 2000 after my youngest son, his brother passed away. The year 2005, my oldest son passed away. My only children. I listen to this, tears almost every time and yet I am filled with love and warmth. Thanks Lisa G. and thanks Orbital. Amazing, beautiful. Life saving and life giving.
Reading the comments from Orbital fans all over the world on this thread is so nice.. Are we some of the friendliest and most including fans there is I wonder? :) Tnx for the comments and enjoy another perfect sunrise that awakens you into this world :)
All people have sphincters in general with the notable exception of those who are Sphincters! It is, however, nice to know that Orbital music has an impact on eveyone!
People at 7.30 am driving to work: "Nah the motorway again, bloody hell..." People at 1 am with their headphones in front of old school techno videos: "Ah the motorway, terrific!"
The first time I saw this video was 10 years ago…I just showed it to my girlfriend because it’s one of the few videos that truly brings me peace sending love too whoever made this ❤
This song is outstanding!!!! Written in E-flat major by the famous British synthesizer group Orbital. The driving video on a Japanese city motorway surrounded by lots of buildings and other infrastructures is outstanding to! Also amazing!!! I love One Perfect Sunrise! Orbital, you are musicians from the upper bookshelf!!!!
I give you this, came across it on youtube & has a similar effect, though different music..ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b9WKC5sT9Z4.html
Enjoy each and every sunrise because you never know if it's going to be your last. I have fond memories as a child waking up early to watch the sun rise above the horizon.
This song in conjunction with this video absolutely MOVED me. I had a hard time not crying during it from the sheer amount of beauty and thought put into this video with this beautiful track. Thank you so much for doing this, I really can't explain enough how much this means to me.
Beautiful..... simply mesmerising.... the images.... the sunrise as backdrop to a heart moving tune. I heard orbital in Ireland play in 2004 missing their 90's time completely... needless to say I was blown away then by the impact of their music struck again by their power just now. Away to find an album from orbital!!
i still get tingles every time i listen to this, i remember the first time i heard it clearly. After an amazing night out coming down but still mellow, i was in the passenger seat of my friends car parked on a cliff facing over sea the sun was rising, sky red, just an overall amazing site. then he put this on and said "you will probably understand how good this song is now" as we smoked a joint it was like i took a break from reality and just focused on that moment, amazing man, utter amazing.
I love that when i come to the comments, ill read inspirational comments, ill read melancholy comments! Ill read comments of epiphanies, this means the world to me because this music was a huge part to my times of contemplation of life, following meditation!!! The bonds i feel forming from reading comments are very precious to me!!! Thank you !!!
Interesting the government the elite should I say would have is believe we need fossil fuels etc but the earth spins revolves around the sun around a turning solar system in a spiralling galaxy in an infinite universe on a an equilibrium of multiverse on the cusp of interdimentional planes yet mention perpetual motion, notion denied.
I have always like the music of "Orbital" and this track always makes my day feel so much better. I love the way the music climbs and spirals. The way it almost fills ever space you're listening in. I wish they did more like this.
I went last year and loved Japan so much. I've traveled a lot and Japan blew me away. There is a huge amount to see in Japan. As for Tokyo, it's a monster of a city. There is no place else like it anywhere on Earth. 37 Million people in a modern, clean, dense and efficient city. Tokyo itself is bigger in population than Canada.
There is some kind of magic in this tune... Makes my eyes wet whenever I listen this... The beauty of this tune can't be described in words... Great video man..!! Thanks for uploading... :)
The POV is fantastic!! Excellent choice of calibration. On a big screen, it really feels like driving, looking around, focusing on the cars in front of you... beautiful!
this song has followed me through some amazing times in my life.. normally falling out of clubs and driving through the city at 6am in the morning... still as good today as it was back then!!!
+Dee Hache No it's not! It's ugly as shit, overcrowded no special cultural heritage just a big US-wannabe trash country. The amount of people in Tokyo is so overwhelming and insane you feel trapped and claustrophobic.
This, right here, is of the most perfect nearly-nine minutes of chill on RU-vid. Spread the love, y'all. This one deserves as many views as it can get.
This is such a good example of synchronisation of the pace of the film to the tempo of the music. A wonderful video to accompany probably my favourite piece of music of all time. I’ve been listening to Orbital since the early 90s when most kids at my school hadn’t heard of them. I thought I’d listened to all of their best tunes until this came along in 2004 and blew me away. One of the comments below says this is the definition of sublime - I couldn’t have put it better myself.
I discovered this track back in 2004, the night before an exam I knew for a fact I was going to fail and for a moment, it didn't matter. 20 years later, I know for a fact that the exam didn't matter after all but the power of this song stays with me.
I use this song when I meditate, after my Brain Cancer I kind of lost control and started getting mad at everything... this song helps me calm down almost every time.
