Hey guys! A friend suggested to react to the themes since they tend to be more popular. Comment which ones you want me to check out. Thanks again for watching 😀
I can appreciate the honesty, and not all songs are for everyone, but I will say that if you are only looking for repetitive stereotypical "catchy" phrases and them speaking bits of english, then you really missed out on enjoying some of the best songs in the openings. Maybe once you start watching or if you start watching, you'll grow more attached to the truly amazing one piece openings from early on in the series.
@dashingkevs3295 I've got to say Brand New World(opening 6) and Share the World(opening 11) are two of my favorite openings. The repeating "We Are" songs are simply classics to all fans, similar to how the original Pokemon Opening in English is iconic to the fans of that show. I will say, there ARE official One Piece openings in English, as well, but only up to Opening 5, I believe? They were made by Funimation, I can send a Playlist with the English versions, maybe you'll like those better, since we can understand what's being said directly. ru-vid.com/group/PLUcq1hPRL27Y5L0SF_9IZ6eUE0kRkwcCL&si=jO_JjvuDdIx8dKyy
The first OP is 3 times due to the anniversaries of the series. OP 7 are at 7 years and are sung by voice actors. OP10 is a reversal for the 10 years. By the way, "We are" is probably one of the most iconic OPs in the whole industry of anime. Greetings-
The big guy with the big elephant is actually too short to be considered a giant. The shortest canon height for an adult giant is 12 meters. The average height for adult giants is about 18-22 meters, and there a rare varieties of giant that get around 60-65 meters tall. NOT feet, METERS. That guy and that elephant were only about 8 meters tall. This is also true for the big, pink haired granny, who is almost 9 meters tall.
The first opening is so iconic to the fans that is repeatble in some milestones like: 10 years, 20 years or some episode important to the main plot etc.
The main reason why you end up not liking the early Openings is that One Piece is old. The old anime style for openings was that of more a kids\cartoonish feel, aslo the fact that One Piece IS cartoonish, one of the major inspiration for Oda was Looney Tunes and if you watch Gear 5 you will see a lot of that influence. However, what makes One Piece so much better than other Shonens is that it manages to use its cartoon-like style to tell a epica and Gut wrenching story. One episode I can be laughing becasue of the crew anthinc and next I am bawling my eyes with tears because of a secondary charater backstory. This happens a lot in one piece and is the reason why its so good. While Naruto ends up being all about saving sasuke and the end of the world. One Piece is more of "how this world works" and the mysteries of its history. Every new arc is a different island so it never gets boring and the overarching plot develops as we journey trough the grand line.
@@dashingkevs3295hm interesting way of putting it. Because I respect your opinion 100% but the openings are about the music AND the visuals. Not just one or the other. I respect your opinion and thoughts again. No disrespect to ya
Shame you didn’t like the music too well but glad that you seemed to like the visuals at least lol. “We are” is like one piece’s Chala head cha-la. It’s their most iconic song. The one that plays near the end is to celebrate its 1000th episode. Hope that clears some stuff up :).
I like that you really tell it how you think it is. Tired of seeing people pretending they like something even though they don't just to get people's approval.
I’m confused, what’s your taste exactly to repeatedly hate on 17 songs? Do you only like Imagine Dragons, League of Legends, & Linkin Park music??? Like AMV music? I couldn’t disagree more one opening 1 not having a standout chorus & catchy tune. It’s as recognizable as the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme for a majority of the world. Maybe Pokémon opening 1 would be a better comparison. But I do get the “Not playlist worthy” statement. I agree, I wouldn’t listen to these songs often when there are much more catchy songs.
I'm sry but this is the first one piece opening reaction that made me actually aggressive😡 how can u only go for catchy verses etc, it was like u weren't really listening😮💨
I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it, for some reason one piece has been the least entertaining op reaction I've done. I kept waiting for a song id like but it never really came.
Good to see that you watch the openings. I hope you like them but there's also the newest opening which is 26 that we are. The third version was just a opening special for the I think the 1000th episode
It is not recomeende to watch One Pace (the fan made version) until you get to the Time Skip. One Pace ends up taking a lot of early development from the anime@@dashingkevs3295
Or more specifically, their a race of humans that have horns that are called the 'Ogre Tribe'. But Giants in One Piece are based on Norse mythology and culture. Meaning they do wear Viking period like clothing. Including horned helmets.
@@tommcburney301 I realized that after I left my comment. 😆 I just figured he could tell the difference between a horned helmet and horns on the head. Thanks for expounding on my comment. 🤗
I respect this guy’s opinion, but it’s so funny just how opposite we are. All the parts he likes are the parts I like the least of the songs. He likes the whaooouuuooow parts but that’s my least favorite part in any of the one piece songs.😂
Haha, you're the only person I've seen who thought We Are! sounded generic (I've seen other people dislike it, but I think you're the first who's ever said it's forgettable lol)
@@dashingkevs3295 That my friend is what you would call "taste". Its not your cup of tea we get it but you cant die on this hill. You have to accept millions of anime fans (not only the One Piece fans) find this song iconic.
Great reaction. Unfiltered. However what you call the best is not even close to what is considered the best song. It’s probably because it’s in a different language so you’re looking for something that you can melodize with. Idk lol but I respect that at least liked some of them. Almost all of them are bangers to me. Took some time to like all of them, but that’s probably just the one piece fan in me, so I’m more biased😅.
Thanks for watching. I can see if you were watching it every week you can get attached to it and associate scenes to make it good. It's just surprising such a popular anime has probably the least hits imo.
@@dashingkevs3295 well scenes do add to it, but I do think most of the openings are great and catchy. I’m not really looking for a catchy hook or anything, but yeah bias plays a part after seeing these openings again and again. Hope you re visit these openings one day, or that one day you decide to watch this masterpiece of an anime. Btw there is one more opening, opening 26 that wasn’t included in this compilation
@@dashingkevs3295that's not really the reason lol the reason it's repeated is because it's iconic and it represents the adventurous nature of the story the best, not the other way around It's like saying All I want from Christmas is just memorable because people listen to it every year, no, people listen to it every year because it's so memorable. "We are" is repeated in special occasions because it's so memorable.
this guy i guess this is not fan of anime. if you hook some anime then watch it. dont compare to another anime songs cuz theirs a lot of twist and story.
I like you being honest with the reaction but the lack of words to tell what is that you don't find that big of a deal of each intro or what you think is better for them makes difficult to me to take you seriiously. That aside I hope one day you get to watch the anime by yourself, the visual in each intro aren't really what makes them what really actually like in my opinion, tho is true they add lots for the experience, specially thinking about how much effort has been put into making the anime a reality with the variety of characters they have per season.
I'm not gone hold you. I wasn't fond of most of them at first, either. I liked more than you did on my first watch through, but most had to grow on me. I knew you wouldn't like "Paint," but I was hoping. There aren't that many of us that actually like that one. I'm sure you wouldn't like it, but would you watch "US!" MAYBE you'll like it. I think the chance is slim, but I'm curious.
@@dashingkevs3295 So, One Piece actually has 26 openings, time of recording. That video only had 25 of them. "US!" is sort of final saga successor to "We Are!" It's the same singer with a totally different vibe. It feels like the opening itself was affected by certain recent story developments, but without context, you're not going to understand what I mean. The song sounds that way, too.
OP 7's difference from OP 1 is that the main cast sang it this time. Fortunately, next time they sang an opening for One Piece, they all got singing lessons in advance.
Thanks for watching, I do plan to do 26 till the end once it's done. I hear there's a fan version one pace that fixes the pacing issues. I might go with that if I ever get into it.
bro actually got offended bc he gave his honest opinion on the openings unlike every other reactor just meat riding so ppl ike u dont cry in the comments 😣😣😣😣
yo this was a great reaction u gave ur actual opinion thru out this reaction unlike most reactors jumping out there chair in shit when deep down the openings arent that great and when u see a good opening u actually show ur feelings keep it up dont go fake like every other mf
@@dashingkevs3295 it's understandable considering how sensitive some one piece fans feel about anyone who dare criticise it. Don't let it bother you. I highly recommend you try the show. You said you thought one piece has 500 something episodes but the truth is we are nearing ep. 1100. It sure is a commitment.
