Franky is totally a type of a dude that'll just calmly explain everything and even after you mess something big time he's just gonna pat your back and say "hey, let's try this again, I'll show you again, don't get so nervous, you'll getting better and better!"
If you think usopp Is this incompetent than i don't know what you things of the other,like for you luffy Is vegano,Zoro can't cut tofu,and Nami haven't sense of direction
Breaks my heart that we never really seen any of this type of interactions between these two in the show or manga. Instead It's always Usopp being amazed by Franky
I wish that they showed Usopp being handy more instead of just being a Goddo. He held the Merry together through a lot just by improvising. That's got to count for something. - Then again, the show is a lot less grounded anymore anyways. I guess with franky just building giant mechs on the spot in a matter of seconds, using scrap to fix a mast is no longer impressive.
I mean, personally i think the issue is that the pressure is always on to keep moving through the plot you know? The moments when the crew are just on the ship hangin out, have gotten much fewer and farther apart post time skip
How I look at it is usopps job isnt to be handy and fix the ship. His job is to be the straw hat sniper. I think he is doing pretty well, especially in dressrosa. I would like to see ussop build his gadgets though. Next arc probably is ussops big arc anyway since we're probably going to elbath.
Yeah but we learned in Skypiea that Usopp was the one that did the majority of the ship's repairs before we got to Water Seven and got Franky to join. We've seen a bunch of times where he invents things and new gadgets, even if it is just his ammo. But he also invented Nami's staff weapon too@@Shaymin0
I'm wheezing because I haven't watched OP in like two years but Usopp is my favourite character and I have never looked up OP animatics before- I love this. RIP Unus Annus

Ha ha ha, literally the perfect audio and a wonderful moment between our two "tinkering inventors/machinists" of the Straw Hat crew. Nice job with drawing Usopp and Franky in your style... pffft, and though Patrick Seitz is a great voice for Franky in English, hearing Markiplier's voice from our SUPER cyborg makes my heart go wheeeeeee!

Yk its kinda surprising that the going merry survived that long considering Ussopp basically had to learn to be a carpenter from scratch when they got it . But he doesn't need to be a good carpenter cause he *B E L I E V E S*

thsi is so SO fuckign cute, the expressions, the sync with the voices, they're both so on model and the animation was so so much more thorough and lively than what i was expecting from an animatic! ltierally amazing work and i CANNOT thank you enough for putting more usopp franky content in the world, i love them so so so much. this was hilarious and i'm going to watch it 40 times

On god, Ussop knows a lot from fixing the Going Merry, but it’s just random things. Franky definitely teaches his a lot of stuff. They are litterally gather and son. Luffy and Ussop collect father figures like Pokémon cards, and I know for a fact they collect pokemon cards.
Hi, relativley new OP fan here, I’ve been binging it with my sister and we’re at the early stages of the fishman island arc. I really like this animatic :)) Those two are my favorites in the crew (+chopper) and I really enjoy their dynamic. I also LOVE the way you drew them both. I know this is old, and you might not like the way the art looks anymore, but I really really like the way you drew Franky. He looks Super :)))
