Nice! Having a power planer is sweet. I’ve made about 12 paddles now and shaped all of the shafts with block planes and sand paper and let me tell ya..... it’s a lot of work
Excellent work. I've been wanting to start a business called Orrs oars. (My last name is Orr) I'm still looking for the perfect plan. I love the single board method but I bet it was quite expensive to buy that piece of lumber.
I might be mistaken, but it looked as if the original paddle you carved and sanded was different from the paddle you were varnishing at the end of the video? The blade shapes, dimensions, and lengths are not the same.
I honestly have no idea. This was a long time ago and my first woodworking project. My tools were less than ideal and I was figuring all of it out as I went. If you start with wood that is already sort of the right thickness and have tools to cut out your shape easily then you could probably shape one in an afternoon or weekend.
Нууууу... Так себе инструментов куча применение их излишне, деревяшка использована не рациональна, да и сами весла не очень карсивые для пятиклассника с папкиным инструментом норм
Seriously? You do realize the paddles are shaped a certain way for a reason? I guess you could add some butterfly wings or something. Geez, get some credit
