This was what made the definition of monster so scary to me. A creature who not only hurts thier enemies, but thier own friends and loved ones, but also themselves. It truly is what a monster is. Not a grotesque giant bloody creature that kills, but one that just simply dosnt care about anything.
@@GarryDKing pretty sure that was just a comedic move by Oda. Cosmetically speaking. Choppers the least intimidating member of the crew. Then there's his "cotton candy lover" codename as well as his adorable wanted poster. But he's easily Worth 30 mill maybe forty at the current point in the story
@@furionmax7824 Yeah, I'm pretty sure Oda wouldn't add another 50 or 100 Berris to his bounty. I'm sure that once Wano is over, Chopper will gain a few million or almost around a small 100 something million Berris. Doing the gag a third time just doesn't sound like something Oda would do. Sure, we've had him do the Raccoon-Dog gag a bunch of times throughout the story, but I'm sure he won't do it with Chopper's bounty.
Not so much a crutch, more like a last resort. Now that he can transform into all of his forms but Monster at will, and only needs one Rumble Ball for Monster Point, he'll never have to go out of control again so long as he's careful.
you are right big mom also said she is going to add in collection of strange beast's but she failed now kaido will add chopper to his zoan type devil friut eaters collection🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂
I wonder, right now monster point is his most powerful point, and can now be used by using just 1 rumble ball, but what would happen if he took another one while in monster point, could it evolve it even further, or is this just his full blown awakening?
It took 3 to make him go berserk, so I bet 2 would probably just make him stronger and probably somewhat more aggressive, but not to the point of attacking anyone he sees.
The reason why Chopper's bounty is only 50 despite this fight is due to him beating the ever- loving shit about Kumadori and giving him severe brain damage which in turn made him forget the fight
actually it's because he's a literal mystery to them, that they haven't realized he's so goddamn powerful and not a mascot it's like finding a dog that turns into a werewolf, but youve only seen it as a dog
Actually, it's because Chopper's transformations go far beyond the well-known Human/Hybrid/Animal of the average Zoan Devil Fruit, so the World Government can see Brain Point Chopper hanging around the crew often enough to be perceived as a pet, but they don't know for certain that the creature/monster from Chopper's other forms is actually Chopper.
There is a side story that tells what happend to the cp9 after enies lobby and I think they stopped working for the gorvement, so kumadori didn't have any reason to tell the marines what happend
Unknown if its an awakening but probably not since one characteristic of an awakened Zoan is fast recovery time. His form only last 3 mins and it leaves him severly exhausted
1:05 Is just a absolutely fantastic piece of voice-acting; you can hear the resignation and admiration and resigned determination hopeful desperation all together in that voice one after the other. It's just magnificent.
The first time I saw chopper use monster point I was flooded with goosebumps, realising that chopper has the potential of proper danger, suits him very well as a doctor
Something that isn't brought up too often, but Chopper's Monster Point greatly resembles depictions of the Wendigo. They're said to be spirits of famine, who are drawn to and possess humans who commit cannibalism. They mutate the person into a cross between man and deer, and are said to be insatiable in their desire to consume flesh. Brings a lot more terror to the lovable doctor's scariest forme.
I agree with that.. I really want to see him lose it at Wano since that's beast pirates no doubtnthey will push him to the extreme and make sure he trust monster for kaido he be interested to see what happens. And .at what to take a bash at him.
I remember the first time i ever saw this scene. My brother and i had to take a minute to sit in silence and stare at the screen with our eyes wide, and i legit felt a shiver. Those eyes and that roar is haunting, man!
Chopper using artificial way to mutate his df so he can reach higher tier in its usage, Chopper zoan fruit is just a mid low tier for combat but with rumble ball he enhance it to the point of a mutated monster (Arms point, horn point, monster point, etc). If only he learn to uses Haki, his monster point is a serious manpower.
I currently going through one piece rn about to get to the timeskip and let me just say that this is one of if not the best fight so far imo. Entering this episode I thought it was gonna be more light hearted and never would've expected this to be the end of the episode.
How the F does he only have a 50 berry bounty (I'm still on the fishman island ark so no spoliers however I know it goes up to 100 but that is still way to small
The only reason it's 50 is that the world government sees him as a pet. The problem is the same as Usopp. Technically, Usopp never had a bounty, sogeking did. The World Government doesn't recognize Chopper in his different forms, and it's his different forms that create reason to give him a significant bounty. Only Chopper they know of is his brain point or normal form, which they never have seen doing anything worth giving a bounty for. Technically still a Straw Hat though, so he was given a bounty since they want to get rid of the full crew.
Love this transformation, love the design behind monster point, and the power behind it. I’m convinced the human human fruit and monster point will have some importance to luffy fully becoming joy boy
The fact that you can hear chopper's scream and this things roar at the same time really makes it clear that this isn't chopper anymore and that is just terrifying.
Its technically not a "monster" if chopper holds his sanity in that form, if her hypnotized or perhaps his brain will shut down leaving only the instinct then we would have this version once again.
Chopper’s Monster point actually reminds me of the wendigo legends. Not so much the cannibal part considering Chopper ain’t a cannibal, but it’s still a monstrous beast that doesn’t care what’s around it, friend or foe, it’ll kill them all the same, they also destroy their own bodies cause of their insatiable hunger and some of the legends come from cold and unforgiving places similar to chopper’s home, drum island. They’re also beyond strong because of their monstrous nature.
My heart breaks every time I see this scene. You can tell Chopper desperately doesn't want to use this power, as it's not a power up, so much as a desperate hail marry, but he's got no choice. Bianca Palencia, who voices Chopper, is doing amazing work here. Love her.
Kumadori at first i thought sucked. But the voice actor really put in a lot of energy into this character! Very memorable. Given his gimmicks still was very brutal and threatening. Choppers roar is what i imagine a true monster would sound like.
0:41 For real though, especially during this part . Voice actors should put more effort into making their voices fit the situation that’s happening in the animation
to all the people who are annoyed by the post-timeskip monster point: Don‘t you know WHY it‘s called monster point?! It‘s not because Chopper gets very huge. It‘s because of his lack of control over it. Now he has gotten enough control over it to NOT attack everything and everyone on sight.
R4nd0m Guy So why keep calling it monsterpoint? I know he's stronger now that he controls it, but it makes it less special. This roar and the knowledge that Chopper will destroy everything in his path made it impressive. To think a sweet and loving docter would allow himself down that path showed the danger and the determination of Chopper. Now it's just a powerup that uses a lot of energy.
To alot if people a form isn't cool unless it's unbeatable or the person has no control. I don't know why but that's what a lot of people think. "oh it's so cool when they almost kill the people they care about."
michael gordon I'm disappointed because this form was supposed to be seen rarely because when he use it, another chopper takes the control: his brutal animal instinct. And it is scary as fuck. Now, it's like he can play with this form without any explanation than just: I trained myself to not loose control for 2 years. I understand the reason but it kills the impact when he use it now.
@@RunBoy not really if anything it improves choppers character. He trained enough to use all forms (except monster point) without a rumble ball and now he can control a form he couldn't. No matter how cool a form is its kinda useless if you can't control it.
If only they still kept that intimidating design That voice and scream those eyes the silence Those vein This shadow That blood... All of it make such and intimidating and scary design this is really a monster
Pre time skip was a monster in pure definition but post it was supposed to show acceptance of who he is and learned control of it for those he cares about, I loved pre time skip so much but post really showed growth for chopper I just wished he used it more 😅
a great choice of a soundtrack , it does show that terrifying side of chopper's situation and the necessity of that huge sacrifice he has done at that time , well done buddy
My theory on the reason choppers fruit is so powerfull compared to the other zoans has been his fruit is not just simply a human fruit as all other iterations of the human fruit have been at least legendary a class zoan, model Nika and model Daibutsu . I believe his is actually a mythical model Frankenstein's monster where the awakening is monster point and all the other transformations are a side effect of the fruit being based off of a monster composed of all the best parts from different people or in his case a franken-reindeer. If it is the case his is actually mythical than it would make sense as to why ancient Zoan stand little chance, at least against monster point where he is actively using all of his Franken Parts at once. this also explains why early on he could not control it, it was like trying to control parts from 7 different body's simultaneously as one unit. also explains why after eating the fruit he became not only of average human intelligence but able to master medicine over a course of just 8 years to a greater degree than most humans could in a lifetime as he not had the best strictly human mind he could, with the exception of egghead of course. this is also reflected in his naïve personality; as in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein the monster itself is innocent and acting out of fear of a mob that doesn't understand it and views its existence as a crime against god and nature. in other words choppers life on Drum Island Mirrors the book almost to a T in that chopper was also exiled by the masses around him and forced to continue living as an animal despite being just as capable of intelligence and emotion t as the humans. its even reflected by him being shunned by his herd for his blue nose as in the book the monster was constructed of parts that came from dead prisoners, people that had been left behind and forgotten by society
First time i watched this it sent chills down till the bone. Enies lobby is the best Arc with so many such power showcases like Ashura or Monster point or Diable Jamble which till this day are one of the most powerful attacks for respective characters.
I love how scary that roar is in open air, I always shit myself in subnautica because the roars are dulled by the water and get a weird resonance that makes distance hard to judge.
Oh the chills this gives me the chills the music and atmosphere and that monstrous keen its not the power thats scary its the soulless eyes thats what made monster point Monster point not something silly somthing to be feared
This was the moment when chopper scared everyone watching, both afraid for and of him. I still get goosebumps hearing his roar like a mythical horror creature of the dark forest
They really killed Chopper and weakened him so much. Monster Point should put him around the levels of the monster Trio but Oda/ Editors decided to make him cute to sell merchandise 😢
So the intersting thing about this fight is it shows how much Chopper grew but also where he need s to improve. He confidently took on Kumadori without any hesitation and put up a really good fight, however the reason he was forced to use monster point was because he has a habit of of relying on super big attacks to finish a fight. So when it’s not enough he ends up in a real bad position. The thing he needs is to learn proper martial arts from one of the brawlers on the crew, it’ll teach him how to use his forms effectively and also not exhuast himself if a big attack isn’t enough to close out a fight. He did address the issue of the 3 minute time limit of course but he still has that habit of relying too much on raw power to win.
