All the names and powers have been introduced so the mysterious Rayleigh used was called haki as mentioned in your 396-397 episode. It's what Shanks used in live action episode 2 to save Luffy from sea monster. Did you notice that Luffy also used it against duval's buffalo at the end of the episode, 389?
Something that always made this hit so hard for me (Pun intended), was that Luffy could've just hit this guy with a Gum-Gum Pistol and been done, but this bastard (and all Celestial Dragons for thay matter), are god awful. No goofy named attacks, no goofy banter, none of that. Just an unbridled rage from Luffy, this punch was personal, without even a shred of worry about the repercussions, as he drops this guy instantly. Love this moment
The thing about Luffy is that he sees through these systems in place and just goes after whoever is causing his friends problems. It's that simple. You're problematic to people I like, you get these hands! Don't care about the consequences.
Knowing these Celestial Dragon are intouchable, Luffy don't care and punch him, Kid and Law are surprised by his action. So dope moment with the song behind. GODA give us so good "meal".
This is one of two extremely satisfying punches in the first half of the story. The other was Bellamy. For me, Bellamy is a distant 2nd to this one. It gets interesting from here.
I kept getting annoyed and cursing at the celestial dragon throughout the entire episode, but then the Luffy's hateful blow came beautifully, and suddenly my feelings of revenge seemed to be satisfied. very satisfactory. I don't know how others feel but it seems I'm not alone. 😂 i love this scene so much 😊
This moment is also a good example of how Luffy can tell the difference between an opponent, and enemy, and someone who is a irredeemable P.O.S and will act accordingly. The navy is an opponant most of the time, For Hachi, he was an simply an enemy who wasnt totally evil. But the Dragons are evil. And luffy knew that even before this moment
The moment Luffy and his crew become more famous and a lot of pirates acknowledge Luffy's crew 😂😂😂. Celestial dragons are weak. World leaders are just a bunch of spoiled brats who are acting tough behind an admiral.
btw, would love to know your thoughts on it being mentioned ace will have a public execution, and itll be a war with whitebeard. a detail that you guys caught in the first episode but forgot due to moving onto the next ep. would be a good idea to give your thoughts out on each ep before going to the next!
