SEQUAL TO MY PREVIOUS VIDEO! OK WOOOOO the logo now LITERALLY has a glowup XD we’ve come so far :’D The animation is much faster now so its kinda hard to see whats going on lol
1:42 i love how even though we don't get to see their story, it's undeniable that Shanks' crew have gone through their own adventures over the years too. They all look different, you can tell they've grown a lot stronger since their departure on ep. 1. Especially Shanks and Beckman
I'm really hoping on Film Red to be an exploration of Shanks. Since. After Wano, we will be getting into the final chapters of the One Piece Story. I would have massive respect for Oda even more if he gave backstory/foresight into Shanks with Film Red. That way, fans and newcomers can see Shanks and why he is a hidden/isolated threat.
@@OrangePixelJuice i personally don't want the movie to go into Shanks' backstory at all. Maybe a couple of his crewmates' but not his own. I want the movie to be purely a showcase of his and his crew's habilities with some minor set up for the next arc, which is where his backstory should be told
@@sigma--boss7098 Yeah, the problem is. That would kill the flow of the story. Which is why, I'd rather have it showcased in Film Red and have the anime/manga focus on the next arc.
@@OrangePixelJuice I mean final chapters is a big stretch. We still got at least 3 major islands, 2 big bad's, and a whole war to go through plus whatever surprises and crazy stuff oda throws our way.
Episode 4: wow shanks seems like a really cool character, cant wait to see more of him Episode 1000: wow shanks seems like a really cool character, cant wait to see more of him Edit: Chapter 1079: FINALLY
I really miss the old drawing style, but the new one has definitely grown on me. Also, seeing the old version and the new version side to side makes me really appreciate the quality of the old version. The old version legit still holds against well the new one.
Up until Wano the new was complete shit, DressRosa was the worst style for me, but I really hope they stick to the look achieved in Wano, it looks so high quality yet cartoony and perfect for the series
when I first started one piece I started with the anime and i was really surprised by how good it looked for its time like for a show from the late 90's it looked pretty damn amazing
Not talking about the animation of tha show itself, but am I the only one that thinks the old opening is better animated than the newer one? And i mean animation, not art style, i think that in the old opening movement was much more fluid than in the new one especially in the section of the newer one where all rhe mugiwaras were shown one by one is a bit stiff and not as crispy. Is it just me being a bit biased or does the old one legit have better animation?
I haven't finished One Piece, not even close, but its impossible to ignore just how far its come and the legacy its left on the anime industry and its fans since its first episode 20+ years ago. Happy 1000th Episode One Piece. (EDIT) by finished i meant caught up stop playing with me yall 💀
@@Juicygamer-gy2pt actually a lot of people have, people are still getting into it and catching up, but a lot of people don’t have the time to watch all 1000 episodes and that’s understandable. I myself binged it during summer and the first few weeks of august and I got to episode 940s or so, it’s all about peoples pacing and when they choose to watch it
A golden age, indeed. Many people have been searching for the One Piece treasure. Unfortunately, not all people made it, but let's be glad that we went through these 20 years together and getting to a close. Thank you.
I think its the best intro song ever! and the band who compare it they done a lot of intro too. they are really know how to hype us up. i never skipped any one piece intro ever!
1:22 Absolutely love this comparison, kaido really is just an upgraded lord of the coast and once he beats him he'll be able to continue on his journey
@@veralynn8334 It's so amazing to think that Luffy is pretty much set for becoming a Yonko after this. There's no way Kaido's defeat can be covered up the same way Crocodile's was.
"Ok, so we're gonna sail on a huge and dangerous adventure trough the unknown sea and none of us know how to navigate, the next crew should be-" "Musician, definitelly musician"
@@pengajianrutin540 There are less jokes because they are in the New World, from what I gathered on another thread. More danger, stronger foes, no time to mess around. It was something like what Zoro told Sanji during the Punk Hazard arc, "We just entered the New World and Luffy already got knocked out!?" And he yelled at Luffy to get serious this is the New World, one mistake may cost them their lives.
Just reached episode 1000 after starting this journey in March this year. I’m so happy I started watching this show when I did and I don’t regret a single thing.
1:24 Luffy really went from punching a sea king to punching an emperor and fighting the nobodies from east blue to fight grand line yonkos. Love to see it
They couldn’t use their old animation even if they wanted to with all these modern equipment. So I think it would’ve been a nice touch to use the post time skip characters with old software engines
@@qxpn9220 The hell are you talking about? They did reuse some of the old animation for the 1000th Opening, look at the part with the ship and the sea monsters. The flag waving was also retraced on top of the original with more shadow and lighting. And what's with this "old software engines"? It's not CG, this is all 2D hand-drawn animation which is much easier to reuse the old animation as long as they still have all the old footage/animation assets in their archive.
Oct 20, 1999, that was the day the first episode of One Piece aired. Its amazing how far this show has gone in over 20 years, how it was able to keep going all this time and keep the audience entertained and interested in 1000 episodes. Seeing the characters change and grow all this time, going to unique island and cities, meeting memorable characters, and seeing Luffy take down the toughest of foes from Crocodile to Katakuri. Now lets see if Luffy can find the One Piece and become the king of pirates in another thousand.
I've only started watching one piece since 2020 but the fact that this shit was able to tear me up is just fuckin gold. It's a living proof that it doesn't matter what time did you joined, as long as you're part of the crew, it will have a great impact in your life.
I was born early 2000, so I have a bit of nostalgia turning on the tv and seeing this show at like 2-4 in the morning Many shows I watch and of course I had no clue what they were about But I did remember the strange art style and this hat and a stretchy guy Many years later I hear about it again and learn the name and checked it out No regrets But I'm not going out of my way to watch 1000 + series... But I am about 25% done Another I remembered was Inuyasha Which I do remember liking Others I vaguely remember is full metal alchemists (that did scare me a little bit as a kid) and maybe bleach? This was all on toonami of course
I started in 2020, almost to episode 600, and seeing this side by side its crazy how far Luffy has come and he's still the same eager kid who's gonna be king of the pirates after all he's been through
The remake opening really speaks countless feeling of the creator. Truly master piece. Why? Because the first time i saw one piece on early 2000s, luffy was joyful rookie who've just set sail and gathering friends. The opening was also shown how one piece begins. And then the remake opening shows luffy as a veteran character who has ventures the world, meeting many people, even taste defeat, and now has enough power to fight on par with yonkou (emperor of the seas) which even admirals of marine fears. I liked it very much, especially the line "pocketto no coin? Sore to you wanna be my friend?" Truly so one piece ❤❤
As a kid I only had the first 20 episodes in a CD which I'd constantly watch but I never took the time to watch it until I met my current partner who absolutely loves One Piece. There's like 1024 episodes now and we've watched it everyday and reached the 1000th episode. I'm so glad he made me watch it again cus I've missed out on so much.
Comecei à assistir há dois meses e já me tornei fã desta obra, uma história muito bem elaborada e divertida. Ainda estou terminando a saga de Alabasta, mas já sinto saudade e uma emoção afetiva por a primeira abertura. One Piece é muito bom!
That’s just beyond crazy that it happened honestly. You see many animes using the first op on big moments and finales, but this is just something else. And the fact that fans have constantly been wanting and asking for this exact same thing to happen is just… wow. Insane
Luffy’s journey has been incredible. Luffy went from punching the local sea king needing to hold his arm back to adjust to the recoil to being able to take out a Yonko without touching them. (Technically) So many changes are shown from the Episode 1 We Are to Episode 1000’s from the graphics to the animation, and we still have 1 Final Saga to go.
Es de locos, pensar también en la comparación, de enfrentarse a malos como Buggy a los más fuertes del mundo O directamente de pegar al primer rey marino que ve Luffy a golpear a la bestia de Kaido
your zoro is useless because of scar you think he is stronger/close than luffy even fighting king he is mo much that needed hiyori to win garbage zoro.
teared up the whole episode. watching with my 2 year old. to think i joined luffy's journey in '09. this should be dedicated to our nakamas who never made it. thank you, one piece. and to everyone who made this possible.
I haven't even started One Piece yet but seein this has made me so hype and so emotional. I can't imagine how the fans must feel watchin the 1000th episode
Man, this feels so nostalgic! Remembering those good old days watching one piece makes my eyes teary. Feel bad for the friends and families that didn't make it this far, they will surely be happy for this one. And I hope we get to see the ending of this legendary art.
Weird, i'm crying while watching this. Idk why, but i'm overflowing with emotions i can't explain lol We've come so far, thank you Eiichiro Oda for this wonderful masterpiece! You have no idea how many suicidal teens going through depression/existensial crisis you've saved by creating One Piece. Thank you!
I started one piece when I was in 4th grade, it was my first anime and I’m now in 10th grade. Seeing this opening at ep 1000 gave me chills! I cant even imagine how people that watched it for a long time felt!
I love how the new one widens after the intro, integrating the old opening into the new modern one. The intro in the new one actually uses a lower res to make it look more like the old one and the resolution gets higher and sharper as it widens.
i watched until the end of the whole cake and then i stopped watching one piece (like 2 or 3 years ago? wow it has already been that long) but then this year i picked up where i left it and when i saw this opening it brought tears to my eyes. It reminded of past years, not only about the anime but about my personal life too. I will for sure cry like a baby when one piece ends.
Born too late to explore the world Born too early to explore space Born just in time to experience the masterpiece that is One Piece. Happy 1000th episode yall
I don't know why I'm crying watching this masterpiece! This is just so beautiful. Imagine One Piece is there since your childhood up to the present time. I LOVE YOU, ONE PIECE! I will stay until the end of the story. 😭😭😭
It's really heartening to see how far one piece has grown, including its cast. Luffy look so much more experienced and mature now. The crew has gotten bigger and there's a clear difference in the ship. I'm pretty sure one piece has become an escapism for many of us as we project ourselves onto them. Not many shows can makes us readers feel sad when they fail or overjoy when they succeed. To think many of the voice actors are still going strong even after over 20 years. I'll be remiss to say but Rip to those we lost along the way as well. Your works would not be forgotten. Cheers to more milestones to come!
Love the subtle allegory the new op has, especially the part that puts Kaidou's dragon form in place of the sea king that Luffy socked in the opening, bet that's how the fight is going to end, Thank you for the great series Oda Sensei, and thank you One Piece for everything that you are. THE JOURNEY ISN'T OVER YET
Fuck this made me cry, The Straw hats have gone so far and to think we're getting ever closer to Laugh Tale is exciting! Congratulations One Piece on 1000 episodes 😭💖💖💖💖
15 años, 15 años han pasado desde que vi por primera vez One Piece... empezando está aventura y apesar del transcurso del tiempo, sigo emocionandome como un niño, gracias Oda - Sensei por darnos una obra tan maravillosa 🥺
I watch one piece since my childhood... To see this epic comparison is... Nostalgia and current feelings Mixed....i was around 8 when i startet watching one piece every day after school... I'm 28 now and still watch every episode every sunday...arigatou
I like how the animation doesn't just make everything look more detailed, but everyone we see pre-grand line looks older, most anime's just make everyone look the same the same throughout (unless it a major age change like pre teen to adult, or adult to senior citizen)
