These are official versions Ama is Uta’s VA and the lyrics are official only the instrumental is different but the iconic YYH dub has the ssme treatment

@@KainYusanagi usually they add these types off things for the blue ray release. Japan's been doing it for years keeping certain elements of the movie or stuff they couldn't put in the movie for home release. SO BUY THE GOD DAM BLUE RAY!

My point was that unless Toho (or whomever bears the rights for the english dub, though I'd not think they'd give them away instead of just working with Crunchyroll/Funimation, as they have in the past) puts their stamp of approval for release, it's not "official", no matter how good they are.

@@scottmadsen9964 They definitely shouldn't have said it the way they did as that was rather dickish. However I do agree with Beach that it would be rude to Ado as well. For the same reason you just said Amalee should have it (being successful and working hard) I think what Ado accomplished in all her songs deserves the highest praise, and should be the only version in all translated movies. There are just something things you can't convey when translating a song, whether that be how it's sung, or to the syllables in each language that allow a certain rhythm/flow in a song. If the DUB had an english singer (doesn't matter who) I don't believe it would have been the same experience.

I watched the English dub in theaters with my friends, and around the end of the movie I was discussing who would have been a good person to cast for if the songs were in English, and I told them "AmaLee would kill it", only to then get to the credits to see that you voiced Uta. All around incredible performance both on and off screen! Don't get me wrong, I loved Ado's version of the songs, but i'm so happy we get to hear your versions because it just feels right.

I'm really liking all of the animations and artwork for these One Piece Red covers. Rather than simply highlighting Uta, they are also highlighting AmaLee and The Monarch, giving another layer to the presentation of the song. I consume AmaLee's content on Spotify more than I do RU-vid, so I don't always notice these aspects unless they are on the album cover or those short Spotify clips.

@@sketchychicken2942 Ado was a vocal wonder. Changed nothing about the fact I had to split my attention between the subtitles and what was going on. If your local voice actress can sing, then let her for the story’s sake. It wasn’t until I bothered looking up the English dub of songs that the story really started making more sense. That’s what we were robbed of. The experience of hearing the songs sung, very beautifully by the way, in our language and seeing how their hidden messages gelled with what was going on.
Ado was and is better for both. I love Amalee, don’t get me wrong but you should also understand that movies that are popular like One piece rarely have English Covers. I’m probably not saying this right and it’s difficult for me to explain but it just sounds way better in JP
I was really looking forward to this song being covered, and I'm blown away! My only gripe was the original song by Ado had a play of words before the big instrumental where she says "I'm invincible", but the kanji could also be taken as a foreshadowing, since it becomes "I'm terrifying/scary" (and we know what happens in the movie). Other than that, everything is perfect!

Take heart in knowing that it's the final arc but Oda has not stated (unless he's now come out and said it recently) that the length of the final arc is undetermined, consensus is saying One Piece might end sometime around 2027, that's 5-6 more years of One Piece, I would never count on Oda to write a short arc, especially for the final one ever XD

I just want you to know, my 6 yr old niece saw Uta in a music vid and thought she was amazing. She kept saying she wanted to watch the movie. She's never seen One Piece at all, but I put on "Red" for her and she loved it. She loved Ado's versions of the songs but didn't understand why it was still in Japanese, so I played her this one. Then she made me play the movie on mute during the songs, while playing your versions on my phone, just trying to get the timing right.😂 Then she wanted to know why the pretty white haired girl wasn't in the movie and could we please watch her movie next? So, I'd appreciate if you'd get your people on that. 🖤 PS. Your Voice acting was phenominal! Great job!

Fantastic. Definitely takes the best parts of the original song and runs with it. Improves some of the drawbacks as well. The original felt like it was bouncing between the melodies of two different songs, but this cover is much more consistent and has superb lyrical adaptation. Especially loved at 2:31 "Now, Has Worry Gone Away/ Have Fears All Been Assuaged. My Feelings May Be Strong/ But There's Power When You Have Passion." On paper, you wouldn't think they would rhyme as well as they do, but you manage to hit the notes perfectly. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to the full album.

Just finished the movie. Dang man. This had to shatter my heart into pieces. If there is to be another movie non canon or not. It is going to be hard to surpass this one in terms of emotions.
