If youre talking about Film red it was garbage its nothing but a bad music video. The only thing thing that saved the movie was shanks showing some of his power.
@@sidharthrupesh9586 red was the biggest flop for me personally, they included so much musical stuff (which i enjoyed to some degree) but nothing compared to the ever rising hype of Z or stampede... Just hype cuz of shanks 2sec haki scene xD
I think this movie is the best One Piece movie so far. I love the art, story, and of course the soundtrack is so good even the credit part is amazing 💜
@@bacon52212 Yeah it's actually like neck to neck between Z and Stampede for me. A lot of stuff happened in Stampede with my fav character outside Strawhats too but smh Z left more impact on me. Maybe because it made me cried at the end and I really love their outfits here 😂
Z's Flashback signifies what and why he decided to leave the Marines. He has his sense of Justice and he didn't like WGs decision. That's why he made a new group and named himself Z (Superhero type of name). It shows that he believes that what he's doing is the right thing. A justice to fight for.
I love how Luffy’s fight with Z was just a pure bare-knuckle brawl. No gear 2, no gear 3, and barely using Haki. Just 2 men fighting for their own ambitions.
One Piece Z was my introduction to OP as a whole. Even while having no idea who the characters and the references were, it hit hard in the end for me as a kid. Rewatching it now feels like a gut punch. Z was one of the best OP movie antagonists.
@@phobic1818 well, if you re not up to the manga this is kinda spoiler teritory so read at your own volition: . . . In the manga we find out Mihawk's ephitat was the Marine Hunter and back in his younger days he used to hunt and kill marines for fun
@@thornray1025 Whe also have to consider the timespan, the age. The warlord that did it, could already Not be a warlord anymore by the time the series began.
@25:30 i guess its because the type of haki Luffy used without realising was innate to people like him, its something they already have inside of them but have to learn how to properly use it, yes all types of haki u have to learn how to properly use it but what i mean is, zoro used haki in alabast but it wasnt conquerors haki like Luffy used in marineford, it was armament haki, cause thats his innate aki type, even Oda said Luffy's innate haki is conqueros, Zoro is Armament and Sanji is observation, which totally makes sense due to their personalities, ambitions and fighting styles
He lost his leg because of how haki works. Haki manages to touch a "substantial body", imagine it sort of like a spirit version of Moria's shadow friut stuff. The body fits to the "substantial body". Logia fruit users can move their "substantial bodies" around their element but are always present somewhere in it; like the shadows they can change the size and shape of these bodies. Haki allows people to interact with these "substantial bodies"; we can see the size difference when Luffy uses this to grab Ceaser even though he's in his gas form, he should be able to escape but Luffy grabs the body with Haki which is larger than his original physical form. So even though logia users can turn into their element and back the substantial body still exists. If you attack that and damage it the damage will be shown on their real body too; like Luffy suffering blunt damage or Zoro cutting Monet/Mr 1. So Aokiji doesn't have a leg anymore as the substantial body must've been blown off by Akainu; it's the same reason that Ace couldn't just turn into fire after his organs got burned. In fact, think of it like Obito's Kamui with haki being able to hit both the illusory one and the one in the other dimension. The 6 powers are pre-cursors to haki; think of them like training wheels techniques to learn haki going forward. It's still technically haki but it's weak and uncontrolled. Haki itself seems to come from a larger ability system that involves exerting more control over their bodies and the world by training mental and phsycial abilities; also included in it is the ability to move their hair (Boa sisters and CP9 Sage guy), instant absorption and digestion of food (Luffy, CP9 sage guy), or instant mass changes (Lucci's faster zoan form, Zoro's gorilla techniques). It could be argued that Luffy showed a variation of this back in Alabasta, and Impel Down, through forcibly recycling and replenishing his blood.
Good point being made. Iron Body is indeed armament haki. The same way Vergo used armament to coat his entire body. In CP9, they have “level” to it. Technically it’s how strong your armament haki is.
People saying that Aokiji couldn't regrow his leg because of Haki as if he wasn't fighting a dude *MADE OF LITERAL MAGMA* the same guy that turned Ace into a donut, logias straight up have weaknesses it's not just haki lmao
I like how all the old marines who he would have trained and worked with sit on the sidelines to send their master/friend off while the young marines who don't know him do the fighting with kizaru who just doesn't care.
I think this is a great point aside from the last part. I don't think Kizaru doesn't care, at the end of the day he still has to do his job as an admiral and he knows he's the only one strong enough to kill Z so he has to fight otherwise all his men would just die.
I remembered when my family got me the One Piece Film Z DVD, I was so ecstatic cause this is the first One Piece DVD copy I have. And I saw this in a store but never got it myself. So I really appreciated my family gifting this to me for Christmas. Our family's old car had a mini player where we can watch shows and movies. So pretty much everyday on the way to school, I would watch this over and over again. I love every single moment of this movie. I didn't have English subtitles so I had no idea what the hell was going on. I was just relying on context and whatever my weeb mind can recognize from the dialogue. But I still love it so much. And it's cool that Avril Lavigne sang for the ending credits.
Best One Piece Movies, Ranked ONE PIECE FILM RED ❤ 1 One Piece Film: Z. 2 One Piece Film: Strong World. ... 3 One Piece Film: Gold. ... 4 One Piece Film: Red. ... 5 Stampede. ... 6 Baron Omatsuri And The Secret Island. ... 7 Dead End Adventure. ... 8 Clockwork Island Adventure 9 The Giant Mechanical Soldier Of Karakuri Castle 10Cursed Holy Sword
My favorite movies are Gold, Strong World, Z, and Red. Probably in that order.. I just hoped for more from Red tbh but the music and animation was amazing I feel.. Z and Strong Wolrd could be tied I think
Yeah now this movie is more believable. Luffy being able to go and defeat and old former admiral is way more logical then expecting us to believe he could defeat a guy who could 1 v 2 his Grandpa and Sengoku before even learning how to use Haki
One of the running theories on why Garp and Luffy look so similar but neither look like Dragon, is that Dragon is Garp's son-in-law and it's Luffy's mother who is Garp's Daughter.
Out-of-context summary of the story: *17 y/o gangster boy and his gang continuously fights the 70 y/o senior citizen, who just wants to stop infamous gangs that killed his family from roaming his neighborhood, just because the senior citizen stole his favorite hat that his gangster stepdad gave him*
I forget if it was confirmed Weevil was the pirate who killed his trainees and took his arm but i've always noticed how the sword through the skull of his flag looks exactly like Mihawk's. Personally I like to believe it was Mihawk to did it.
