Not diminishing the accomplishment but I can't help but notice there was strategic use of the Gum Gum Spear move, which takes some time to get and might not be available unless you go out of your way to grind or until around Kuro iirc. I assume the player here is doing rematches with the full movelist available.
When I played this game for the first time, I was almost pissed off by Butch the Clown Smoker Dusky's unique move, and the part where I ran to Smoker to chase him back to the ship. I don't know how many times I died in total(although it was fun).😭
I remember there's altered combo by perform one-two punch then push attack+up together to knock boss up then press it again to perform gum-gum bell in midair
Weird how the last boss is Smoker. Luffy doesn't have haki at this point in the story, so he shouldn't be able to touch him. A more appropriate final boss would've been Crocodile.
1:34 Alvida: You will be mine, Luffy. ♥️ (Alvida feels a hand on her shoulder from behind. She turns around to see Boa Hancock with an obviously disingenuous smile and an aura of violent wrath. Suddenly, Hancock's grip tightens with crushing force and her fingers dig into Alvida's soft skin, creating lines of blood that streak down from her new wounds. Alvida whimpers from the sudden pain and her face contorts into a wince. Boa Hancock's eyes open like gates to hell itself, revealing her bloodthirsty malevolence.) Hancock: *Luffy **_is_** not yours, nor **_was_** or **_will_** he ever be.*
Shame that I know bugger all about One Piece. This game does play a lot like a platform Dragonball game I had on GBA. You might have a boss run of it on this channel - Demon King Piccolo was the final boss.
Pretty sure both games were made in the same engine. You can really tell by the controls, the interface, the collection of hidden items you can take, etc.
