Thank you all for having joined me on this amazing journey through the first season of the One Piece Live Action Series! Stay tuned, because I'll be starting with the anime over here as soon as tomorrow! I hope to see you there for it! Thanks for watching :)
The power you saw from Garp in this episode barely scratches the surface of how powerful he truly is. He was holding back extremely. I'd say in terms of Garp's overall power, maybe only 5 to 10% of his actual strength was displayed here. The same can be said for Shanks during that bar fight scene in episode 2 as he was holding himself back as well.
Dub or Sub? i haven't watched your anime reactions before so i don't know what you prefer but i will say either is fine personally i prefer the dub cause almost every straw hat is voiced by a Dragon Ball voice actor so Luffy is Colleen Clinkenbeard who voiced Teen Gohan in DBZKai and Kid Goku in all modern games, Zoro is Christopher Sabat who voiced Vegeta, Piccolo, Yamcha and 99+ db characters, Sanji is Eric Vale who voiced Trunks, Usopp is Sonny Strait who voiced Krillin and fun fact Krillin in sub is Luffy, Nami is Luci Christian but she hasnt been in DB but she plays Uraraka in MHA. but i would recommend to give maybe a episode or 2 in dub and sub to really choose.
As Garp said himself in an earlier episode, he refused the rank of Admiral, because he didn't want the top brass commanding him directly, without spoilers, there are reasons why he is just left alone to do whatever likes, including a bit of rule breaking like letting his grandson get away like that.
Let's just say once you become Admiral... your primary objectives no longer involves helping common, ordinary people, but serving the interests of those above. When the one and only admiral to show human decency and take accountability is considered the 'worst' one... you know there's something seriously wrong.
There is later context to why Arlong Park looks like a waterpark, but even without it there's the obvious contrast of Coco Village struggling in poverty while their oppressors down the road have a tiki bar and a pool.
It’s almost like the disparity created in capitalistic systems, inevitably creates an unequal hierarchy in which the winners are at the top and at the bottom are those forced to live off their scraps while paying tribute to them… Or something.
22:02 Garp's punches hurt Luffy while Alvida's iron club doesn't - because while Luffy being made of rubber may defend him from enemy attacks, nothing can defend you from "a fist of love".
Luffy did break into a marine base, stealing a whole safe, destroying property, freeing a prisoner (Zoro), and beating up countless marines and a marine captain. I think that very much does count as doing something "illegal". Even if he has not done anything illegal since then, it would be enough for him to be wanted by the law.
Despite Arlong being a Grand Line level threat... I'm not exaggerating in the slightest when I say Garp could've atomized Arlong and his entire crew in his sleep. Garp is genuinely an endgame level player in the world of One Piece.
garp was worried for luffy because there are more marines officials that are more powerful than him trying to catch luffy and he will not be able to protect luffy form now..tahts why luffy is in its own now with friends ..
Actually, Nami gas only charted the entire East Blue, so almost ONE QUARTER OF THIS BIG WORLD. And the Grand Line chart they got only shows you how to get there, not what all is in it.
"I want to see a full analysis of the world." In that case, you might want to react to The Breathtaking World of One Piece. Maybe also react to the openings too, as a sort of preview of what you're getting into.;)
"Nothing's gonna stand in our way!" Except for 1 Smokey guy. Also, Yasopp has different haircuts. The early one is a blonde afro, and then he's got dreadlocks.
Yes, the fishmen situation is layered. The series will revisit this topic way down the line, and perspective of Arlong and the other fishman name dropped last episode will change quite a bit. I hope the show will stay successful enough to reach it
Gold Roger once destroy the entire army of a nation just because they insult his crew. Just one of many Gold Roger exploits. One of the story that make him notorious...
Now that you have entered this world, please react to "The Breathtaking World of One Piece" before watching the anime, it is a video that will show you the entire world of One Piece without spoilers so you can understand this wonderful work!... greetings bro
This season only amounted to 1/11th of the entire anime series so far. Technically, I'd say 1/10th because I don't think Netflix has any intentions of including the filler episodes of the anime which is a lot. There were dozens of fillers early on, but lately, not so much anymore. At least in the anime, that is.
No need for filler when every episode is 70% just random staring and build up lol. The animation got better after episode the 800s, but the anime pacing keeps getting worse
@@germin9784 I was going off by the manga. The manga is in the 1100s as well and this one season covered 90 chapters of the manga. That's why I said almost 1/11th, though it's slightly less than 1. I just rounded it up, lol. I was being lazy. I didn't want to calculate it, haha. Plus, I suck at math and even I'm not 100% sure if that fraction is correct. 🤷
To find Yasopp you go to episode 1 and look for the one wearing the headband with Yasopp printed on it. Easy spot, but you have no idea what you're looking for when they show it, so nobody notices it usually...I didn't.
Thank you for your reactions this season. I enjoyed them all, and agree with you that this is a wonderful adaptation of a great story. Concerning your question at the end, "Who did I just see?" Well, it would appear to be someone who smokes.
When you get to the One Piece series, will you be doing the fillers as well as movies? The fillers tend to have their first and final episodes be half cannon as they lead into and out of the filler, just so you know. Some fillers also conflict a bit. Like having Zoro cut chains, but then canonically not being able to cut steel until later. So, there's some minor confliction here and there. Most of the filler aren't bad, though I highly suggest watching the well done G-8 filler arc whenever you get that far. And in regards to movies, the first two movies are a royal pain to locate. For me, had to find them split into 3 minute or so clips in a playlist on youtube. They're that hard to find.
I consider One Piece to be up there with Uncharted on overall impact in my life. Excited to see what you think of some of the later arcs. It really has the worldbuilding of shows like Game of Thrones, but with this positive spin and unique world.
That's too big. I know that's been said in an interview before. But I think the person that said it didn't really think of the sheer scale of the Sun. There is no way they could sail around the Grandline in 2 years if it was the size of the sun. It would take more like 2000 years. Lol.😅 let's just say it's 10 times bigger than Earth or the size of Saturn or something like that a bit more reasonable 😊
@@benjaminroe311ify it's fiction and these things are just something that we have to accept. Comparing to our real world, Ferdinand Magellan's fleet expedition is the first circumnavigation around the world and that took about THREE years! (1519 - 1522). Yet the Strawhats navigated half of the One Piece world (Laboon - Sabaody) in only like 2 months
