It's just as interesting to watch how they fix a mistake or accident with wood carving. Or with clay for that matter. With clay, the worst accident would be the artist falling on top of the almost finished fresh clay sculpture. Or breaking it just when it is perfectly finished. Most likely the wood chunk is way more expensive than the lump of clay/ceramic. Wood work is way slower, so it does give you time to plan ahead. But a false move with a power tool can do a whole lot of damage, which may or may not allow you room to do any corrections. Anyway, I don't do sculpture or carving or anything related to that type or art. This is magic to me. I guess I can make a ridimentary cup with clay, only to watch it break when trying to cook it. With a lump of wood, not sure but most likely it's be something that even super old timey Neanderthal's would laugh at me.

I carve in copper it's the same thing one shot . this guy is very good.

Artists like him, hone their craft to perfection over the years, practicing all the time, while the average people will never bother to even learn to draw (or play one instrument) because they think they don't have the talent for it.

@@Soulkey_sbr That's because an average human will took actual 3 to 4 times that dedication if he/she actually wanted to get to that level, its just not worth it imo, everyone has their strength and talent, its better to focus one what you already had.

Discipline, practice and hard work always trumps "Talent"

Also perhaps you should think on making small figures for desktops 3-6 inches tall. Basic stance models of characters I think 50-100$ could bring easy revenue in between the larger projects.

10x higher price is a little too less. It's one of a kind so it will likely fetch 100x more at least.
