@@Hellsing7747 Yeah I'm gonna have to agree, ngl as much as I like the system ILCA made, they didn't really utilize it that much. I can change each crew so they can face off the enemy that they're strong against and I can do that an infinite amount of times that it's basically broken. In terms of the areas, you can't exactly move your characters that freely as well. What if, I want Nami to be in this empty area so she doesn't take damage (considering there isn't even a block button). I do hope they'll make another one of these, though. I'm all for anime games taking different directions other than just having it be musou games or arena fighters or 2D fighters.
The game is mad easy but I'm glad to know post game bosses are hard. But none theless the side quest stories are amazing. Overall I liked the game and excited to see what dlc we get
The bosses are only hard if you purposely do not optimize the accessories, the game allows you to have 100% resistances to the triangle as well as the elemental damage. Only one of the optional bosses can hit you for more than 1 hp after that

The funniest part is that it's not like we're asking for the game to be HARD. Most JRPGs aren't (as far as main game content goes). It's that the game isn't even challenging enough to push you to utilize the pretty neat combat mechanics that they came up with. That should be the bare minimum of difficulty for any game.
Hey Globku, did you know that One Piece Odyssey's gameplay and overall game design is uncannily similar to a certain hidden One Piece gem RPG on the PSP called One Piece Romance Dawn? I'd love if you could check it out, it initially released only in Japan but it got a 3DS for us western folks later on, it's a fantastic game with turn based combat and takes place during the entirety of pre-timeskip of One Piece.
We need a one piece mmorpg! With how massive the world is, we should be able to make a character, choose our devil fruit if you want one, choose your weapon, learn haki, choose whether to be a marine or pirate. To add to it, weather we are a marine or pirate we can sail the grand line and the new world venturing to the islands. I’ve taught about this for years and have a whole game idea. But just saying it will be HUGE for both one piece and anime gaming all together
I've thought about this for a bit but you really can't put devil fruits as they are in the story into a mmorpg format now i.e there can be only one person with the D.F powers *Heavy spoiler for the One piece manga* Now the argument for Green Blood would be a interesting way to get around this but then they wouldn't be Devil fruits anymore and I'm not sure I'd that's better or not

There are outfits in there, but the game does only display them during "regular" gameplay. For example, even in cutscenes that are in-engine and not pre-rendered, the characters will revert back to their default outfits. I find this a letdown and immersion breaking
i was disappointed to see that feature gone. almost every one piece game has alternate costumes, and this game just has the pre order ones and sogeking?? that’s it?
My biggest disappointment was the lack of outfits for this game.. one of One Piece's biggest things was giving the characters an outfit sequence for every arc/movie and in this game we didn't even get a special outfit for the new storyline itself.

This game needs a hard mode so badly, and it's apparent right from the jump, like did the developers not play test the game and see how ridiculously easy it is?
This is strange because the developers also made Dragon Quest XI which, if you don't know what you're doing and just spamming you're best attacks, will absolutely crush you.
I don’t know man I was stuck on Sir Crocodile for a long-ass time and I’ve heard that people literally ground for hours just to beat his second phase. Some ppl even grind to lvl 40 when you could be able to beat Croco boy at lvl 20…
i´m 7 hours into the game, and the difficulty is REALLY putting me off... i finished DQ11 only recently so going to OPO now, which i was VERY looking forward to, feels like i dont need to do anything and just attack... hoping for a hard difficulty patch 🙃
Nice I caught this happening Live, and someone in the chat mentioned a Difficulty Mod. So me and my Nakama would be playing it that way. Also Lower EXP gain Mod as well.
Idk if you found the Wood Steelz Bolt to make the bridge in MF, but when you enter the next area, look to your immediate left, and there's a box you can destroy. That'll give you the 2nd Wood Steelz Bolts
Yes sometimes it lacks difficulty, also lacks of detailed information like what gear 2 does to you, what monster point will effect chopper, etc. Also there's no monster lv so sometimes I got caught just fighting low life creatures. But overall it's a fun and funny cause everyone stay true to their character

Idk man I think this game is meant to be cozy. Something to relax and enjoy a one piece story but the option to increase difficulty would have been nice
Its all back to those "Slime Summon in Elden Ring" debates all over again lmao. Just dont wear accessories, dont use food and trick balls, dont abuse nakama combos, then you have the challenge you are looking for.
lol smoker level 2 was easy but crocodile level 2 was INSANE haha i was getting wacked for 6000 to 8000 damage on everyone and even the tornadoes were doing fat damage af haha i couldn't heal fast enough to stay alive and i had everyone around 65 i saved before so i could reset all my items back cause i used a shit ton xD it definitely ramps up as it goes (or crocodile lvl 2 is just flat out op xD)
i really loved the game, 120 hours in i have beaten all the bosses on hard, have my crew at lvl 99 and have all collectibles. I just wish there was more content, a hard mode and some more utility for some of the characters. I love Nico Robin so i used her throughout the entire playthrough but in endgame she basically used her strongest skill over and over without having any sort of stuns or whatever.
I actually died twice on the crocodile boss fight on second form ,so now I'm questioning every fight but they easy lol that one fight was hardest part so far
I’m sure we will get NG+ and a hard mode soon and with dlc hopefully we’ll get some hard content. You can also skip random encounters like I’m doing with my play through to make it harder. Also it’s really nice to see the post game bosses get hard finally.
I think it was very fun and I do not agree with too easy like a lot of the main bosses felt really spongy to me, not really hard but long fights and I was over leveled for the most part.
@@kingdomsoul8968 i feel like the real issue I had is the generic mobs where easy but boss felt like they just had more health than needed. Like yes I will win but the fight against Lucci seemed like it took forever
Ngl even though Robin is my one of my favorite characters i just don't use her outside of VERY niche situations where I need to move the enemies to a different area. As for Nami I use as a defensive tool and all her equips are health and defense cuz her mirage skill helps the big powerhouses on the team (Especially Luffy and Zoro who i built to be have tons of HP, attack and high crit rates)
Honestly for a JRPG being to Easy is honestly perfectly fine to me. When I play a lot of games I personally enjoy playing a game on its lowest difficulty, I prefer to play a game for the experience, not for the challenge. Of course this is not me saying I'm against challenging games, I love Bloodborne and went far enough to Platinum Trophy the game, but honestly for the most part especially for JRPG's I like to get through the game with little worry about redoing battles or needing to grind and prepare to make sure I'll be able to get through a battle. Of Course that is just me and I would think this issue would been fixed and please everyone if the game has difficulty settings. Maybe in time either the game gets a Update or at least the PC version gets a Mod that provides a harder difficulty mode.
But the option for a difficulty slider should always be there A choice doesn’t hurt those that want an easy game. Lack of choice only hurts those that want a challenge
The experience is the challenge. Let's not pretend the story alone justifies playing the game. Th actual game play is depressing and makes you feel like you're a weirdo playing a little child's game OP is old. It's fans are disproportionately 18+. This is beyond parody
never noticed until you mentioned the post story boss fights .... this game is just dragon ball z kakorat reskinned and it makes me hate the game when i liked its potential based off of it being one piece
It is easy, but not by default. Enemy scale really fast and it is up to you how you build your characters. You can underpowered them on purpose if you do not want to invest in them, this makes the game harder.

There's actually a difficulty mod out already, I've been using it myself and it's made the game a bit more challenging for sure. I recommend trying it out if you have the PC version
yeah even if i had hard why play on hard you dont get anything for it. i understand to challenge yourself. Cant they have it where you beat it on hard for get more outfits.

So basically, for you, Kamehameha in Dragon ball fighter z is basically a playable character 🤔 😆 But real talk, you know what I meant. I would've preferred if Gear 4th was more than a special attack.

Why does everyone love the hardness and challenges? I prefer the game being fun and chill and to enjoy it for the story and animations rather than the gameplay.
Because part of what makes rpgs fun for a lot of ppl is the strategy that goes behind the battles what's the point of all the mechanics that make the rpg creative and unique when u can just plow through everything using the same strategy you've been using from the start of the game?
@@MicaW4VE A lot of strategies involve grinding for items that increase your stats which might take hours to get. I understand your point of view. But take example Magic which is another tun based game considering it is a card game. Unless you have a really good deck which involve hours to build or pay to win. Now in the case for One Piece the items you get are from finishing the boss battles. I still find the challenge boss difficult to complete so there is an element oi strategy that you suggested but having the game as chill and relaxing is not bad as well.
I don't know if maybe I'm just under level but I am getting my ass kicked a lot here and all the bosses even through the story especially marineford were tough as hell
Ya’ll really need to look into the difficulty mod for the game. It’s a game change honestly. Add in the QoL movement speed mod and this is easily the best OP game thus far.
This also a problem with Pokémon the difficulty is not handled when it needs to be difficult without jus the annoying to grind although I do think some of the games do it better than others
Personally I like it like this because as someone who has a really hard time grasping how to play turn based RPGs like Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy, this is a great intro to the genre. I'm sure for people who are used to the genre it is much too easy and that makes sense. I'm just happy I get something to help me get experience in these kinds of games and hopefully help me understand other games of the genre
