OP05 restock in July, would sell quick now and jump back in once it corrects 30% temporarily. OP01 and 0p02 floor thin, prices will be back in 3-4 weeks.
I think sealed is still high because supply for the older sets is low. Reprints are coming which we are seeing sets 1-3 come down. 4 seemed to have a big run and is only now beginning to become scarce. 5 was massively popular. 6 same as 5 but not as popular. 7 seems they ramped up the print run since prices are coming down quickly.
I say often in my videos I don't get into the graded market I stick to singles and sealed market that's a market I'm not to familiar with not enough knowledge there to comment on however I've been told your absolutely correct
Regarding sealed box prices. The sealed booster box prices are “inflated” due to the market price at which the lgs sell them at. Even though the MSRP is ~90-100, they sell them at a higher price. This is because 1) there is demand and 2) they can capitalize on that demand. The unsealed/loose card market is the market price at which players of the game are willing to pay. In essence, there are two markets (one for players and one for collectors). It seems the market for the collectors is dropping due to reprints and the market for player (players willing to pay for a card) still remaining much lower. Nevertheless the price for sealed boxes are currently still being supported by lgs selling them for a premium. We see such effects similar to monopoly economies where certain companies can set up a price, much higher than their costs
Yes there are two markets I guess what I'm frustrated with is why there is such a wide divide between these two markets it's like we are living in two different worlds I get it if prices for sealed was just few dollars more then msrp like 10-20 more but this is just a completely out of control... as regard to your comment your completely right about that and This is why I appreciate this comment you went a few cuts deeper definitely giving me something to think about
The point is: a lot of competitive decks are playing a full set of super rares for example I'm trying to build an Enel deck and one of the staple is OP03 Katakuri witch is almost 50€ per card, I've made the list on card trader and it's close to 300€
Damn!!! But that is a avg price of a very competitive deck I get if booster boxes were $150-100 But still even $300 is not terrible especially if you go buy the cards you want to construct the deck buying booster boxes with no guarantee and to see these high prices to me doesn't make sense
