LCGs are still selling boxes at $160 a box. Product is still inflated despite the drop in value. Sealed prices may have dropped, but everything is still overpriced. I wouldn’t be surprised if another drop happens because “investors” are selling out.
I do believe One piece will stand the test of time. The player/tournament base is very strong with in person and the o line client. As you stated, it’s the 2nd most graded tcg and it also appears to a different type or category of collector/player than YuGiOh/DBZ (other Bandai properties).
This is exactly what you get when 90% of the fan base is priced out of opening product and can’t find a single pack on store shelves. They say fuck this stupid shit and don’t want nothing to do with it.

I already bought so much early on that the itch to open my boxes is gone. I have 1 blue bottom and the rest of my boxes are bought at 100$. Good on you for selling know what you got into it for. For me it’s not about the money I just like collecting at a good value.
thanks for the update, i got in to blue bottom when you first made the oP videos, and sold when i heard of reprint rumors months ago. Ill stick to pokemon from now on but grateful you made me loads money in OP blue bottoms!!
My view changed pretty much when. OP5 came out and they were being sold for $200 plus after release lol. That kinda thing can't last. It has nothing to do with how things will recover or do in the future but for the time being I feel there are better places to park money is all
As someone who collects Union Arena cards (another Bandai TCG) I can say that Bandai is actually being way more careful than usual with One Piece. The 50% drop is nothing compared to the bloodbath I've seen with their thoughtless printing policies for other games. It is still far from perfect but take that for what it's worth 😂
Bandai screwed the pooch. I was trying to get into one peice but I just could NEVER find any product in the wild. And I’m not paying $400/box for a BRAND new game!
Remember this is a bandai TCG. Just like Digimon and all other TCGs before it, Bandai will cut down support to a point that it's just another TCG. This is the reason I am skeptical in investing in Bandai because their track record has been proven across different TCGs that they have come out. I'm pretty sure they are going to come out with another new FAD tcg in the the future.
@@ant_989 The TCG is a FAD. Just because it's a successful brand does not translate to a successful TCG. Many brands have come in go with their revolutionary TCG only to die a few years. Star wars, star trek, Lord of the rings. There is a reason it's called the big 3. Clearly you lack knowledge in the TCG world
@@portalmasterry6765 Star Wars is dead, Star Trek (don't make me laugh), LOTR is dead. One Piece is still not finished and ongoing. The brand is much bigger then any you mentioned. Go to Japan to see how big One Piece is. Pretty much on par with Pokemon at this point.

Nothing better then hearing a fair assessment on these markets you can tell u have ur pulse on the these trends. Investing pokemon is def understandable. It's easy conservative play. I like one piece even with the high risk. I'll b a buyer when price lower a bit more. I'm diversified enough and if it flops I'm just doing it for fun
The game might have been ok if as a store we could have reordered it, but on the flip side I also don't think anyone will care when all the cards are cheap no matter how much they want to claim they do. I think the game officially died outside of highly competitive events as of May 2024.

They weren't printing much and you can tell from the level of quality control that they have. It would still be a good keep the early prints because they seem to always get PSA 10.
Also, romance dawn cost 100 to 120 during the time-frame you said you jumped in. You 2xed. This is such an obvious bear trap. If you dont feel bullish at 60 sales in one day for a 1.5 yewr old product at 2.5x original market then Im not sure what to tell you

It's still 100 over retail... It was a small drop that is being quickly absorbed. This is absolutely fake news. Any time a reprint happens there is a dip and it will go back up. OP1 - 5 is doing fantastic. OP5 is amazingly hot now...if you are in it for a flip and got OP5 at retail it's straight profit now. WN sellers moving near 20/blister. Also...OP definitely moves way way better than Pokemon. That is just facts. Another fact but this may be area specific...OP is constantly sold out at LGS at near market prices and OP game night and Pokemon game night have similar showings.
I expected this to happen because of Digimon around set 8 or 9 there's a bunch of reprints and the value on everything crashed and now it's like every card in the sets like cheap and easy to pull

When looking at the form for my state I don’t see that anything would qualify for collectibles aside from the other category and I am unsure what to list in that blank. Just don’t want to get denied. I can't remember. Is there no option for online selling of goods or anything close to that. I don't think it's a huge deal. I haven't heard of anyone getting denied.

Sold all my boxes a while back, when I heard more was going to be reprinted. Time to swoop in and buy some more cases of all the early sets to hold for my collection long term. Easy profit long term and worst case scenario I can open them in the future.

I have 3 blue bottoms that I go through Gamenerdz a couple of months after the initial release. Got it at $160 per box and have all 3 still. As long as there is no reprint on the blue bottom, HODL for the long term. IMO they won't reprint the blues just the white bottoms

How can you scalp a product that was on pre order for over a month at will. The only reason people want it now is because of Rudy. Those people DESERVE to be upcharged, if you wanted AC preordered you have AC. Anyone else is riding the hype
I always want the prices to go down. Now it is happening. It is the big win. F nonsense investors. So toxic to have those people around the community. The prices was skyrocket as hell before and now it become more affordable for some cards to enjoy the game. Some of the card prices also need to go down the prices.

Raichu, groudon, 2 charmanders, squirtle, charmeleon, iron valiant, walking wake, gouging fire, 2 gardevoirs, its just 10 after 10 after 10. It literally feels like they gave me all 10s so i wouldnt be mad about my blastoise that they completly mangled. That way they wouldnt have to pay me out.
