I'm a train geek so here's some facts about the train in this video: The loco is 66742, which is the same loco that hauled the train on Tuesday and Thursday. It was built in 2003 as number 66406 for Direct Rail Services. In 2009, it was re-numbered to 66841 to coincide with it's move to the then new but short lived Advenza Freight company. It then went to work with Colas Rail Freight under the same number until 2011 when it was sold to GB Railfreight and re-numbered again to it's current number 66742. It is named 'ABP Port of Immingham, Centenary 1912-2012'. The wagons used are type JNA-T wagons or 'Ealnos'. The inbound train's headcode (reporting ID) is '6V45'. 6 denotes that it is a train that cannot exceed a maximum speed of 60mph, V is used to show what route it takes (somewhere between Wellingborough and your yard will have that letter assigned to it) and 45 is just to differentiate it from other trains. The return working is '6M43'.
Daniel, the neighbours hear and feel disturbed by the loud noise (short louise) when your trucks are being loaded! If only they saw how much you do compared to others when it comes to safety, community and employees. Respect
Noel should have his own channel 😳😂 such a knowledgeable guy specially when it comes to trucks and wielding etc and he can swear on his channel would be banter
@@samosa434 🧐 he could always blur his face out or just show what his doing its the knowledge that counts 😏 not his beautiful face though it would be a bonus aha
Asheville always delivers their video on time , can’t believe it’s 30th episode. Shows how much they are care about doing everything professional plus going the extra mile. Well done Daniel and the Team @Ashville 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
This Asheville weekly has really got me through some dark and Lonely times, I’ve felt broken and shattered from things that life has thrown at me, I’ve lost so many people over the last year not related to covid, and having something soo interesting and natural and funny to watch every week has really gave me something to look forward too. Daniel bro your doing a amazing thing there, I love it I hope one day I get to meet you if life does not cripple me.
Danial. Great to hear you are recruiting new blood to ease your workload, increase the overall efficiency and continue building the business. You can now spend more time on its future growth and prosperity. I wish you continued success🏴🇺🇸
Daniel next time you do a charity thing do a just giving page for that event. Then do a different one for the next different charity, that way gift aid can be claimed, and all funds go directly to charity when you close the page
Daniel needs to do a local community day or something. Invite the locals and the councillors to the site to see the functions and give them some education.
I think your neighbours just watch your videos and complain about the noise. I understand you want to keep everyone happy but that's not possible in life. Keep up the great work you and your team do ! I hope great things will come🙂
Simon the accountant is serious mann, I like his organised work station and storage space for documents. Welldone Simon on your new property journey and keep up the good work on maintaining a professional approach in everything legal and compliant.
This is almost becoming a tv series for me always checking and waiting for the Ashville updates. One day you should get the employees from all the Ashville team and show us a group photo of the team. Daniel and the team are honestly the most loyal hard working members of staff I’ve seen by watching Ashville weekly cause they are all working for the greater good of the company. Keep the great work up guys were backing yous all they way.
Started watching st ep014, then went back to ep001 - ep013, and haven't missed an episode yet. It's a great show. BTW what happened to "Ashville Storytime"? Those good reviews we posted were what you and your company had earned. All your hard work. We simply did what we could to correct what those protectors broke. We are SERIOUS about Ashville 🔥🔥🔥
Been watching from the beginning. It is serious, funny, educational and he informs watchers that hard work does pay off in the long run. Anything good does not come easy, it requires hard work, dedication, discipline, integrity, respect, and honesty to succeed.
The silly neighbours and local council don't know what they are talking about. It's not the grabber making noise. I know what it is that the neighbours are hearing, but I won't say lol. Keep up the great work life Daniel, see on the next EP #31
Ashville clearly isn't SHOOK, seeing your beautiful lorry's travelling around South London last week for the first time 💪🏻👍🏻 keep up the grind I'm loving the content
Hi Dan! When i was in school i learned about resonance. Long story short there are some type of metals that absorbs the resonance better than others and therefore might be more quiet than normal steel so if you would do an attachment out of casted iron with high graphite percentage in the mix it would be maybe a little bit more quiet. The basic frame of Lathe and Mill machines are also made out of casted iron with high graphite content so therefore it won't resonate as much as a normal steel structure would do and makes the machines more accurate etc. You could also attach some rubber pads to the side of the bucket so when the side of the bucket hits the side of the train cart it would also be more quiet.
When I see the parking with three star machines and Audis "FUEL GUZZLERS" belonging to your employs, shows you pay them well man.... so proud of you bruh. Keep it up and God bless. Love from Kenya Africa.
You can imagine the locals meeting up every week over a bottle of white wine watching Asheville weekly trying to find something to moan and complain about 🤦🏾♂️
My kinda work this, I'm a shovel driver and 360 grab operator up in the North West, I'm addicted to watching all the episodes, keep them coming and keep up the good work. 👌💪👍
Re the noise complaints of the bucket unloading the trains. Folks will complain, just for the sake of complaining. If it wasn't that, it would be something else. Reminds me of those who buy a house near an airport, then complain about the plane noise. Keep up the excellent work.
Man other than the OG trio of top gear I feel Daniel is one of the very few who can do the car vs public transport race very interesting and fun in his case train vs lorry. Very excited to watch that video
Well ladies and gentlemen we meet again I see, mad busy atm but I can’t wait to get home put the kettle on roll me a spliff and watch the best episodes on RU-vid serious!!!!!!
the only thing i can think of to lower the noise on the bucket unloading the wagons is to flood the wagons with water while your unloading, or just put up a sound barrier around the load/unload area. Tall thick bamboo works awesome and looks after itself.
I can't believe i've also watched every episode...You wouldn't think watching a few blokes making an honest living in this day and age could be so addictive. Gotta be a sign of the times eh ?
Still can’t believe it’s been 30 weeks that myself my fiancé and my little boy have watched this every Sunday, would love to work in this industry but I look after my fiancé as she suffers with depression
Love your work ethics, I work the 7 days to, and seeing you strive is what makes me get up in the morning every morning, love this channel! Alot of people can take/learn from this ❤ dig deep! Always chase the money!! But most importantly be happy wile doing it👌
Daniel heard you comment you were going to race a train with a truck. Stobart's did the same between one of their depots in England and the Scottish distribution center for Tesco in Scotland and the truck won !
you could build acoustic dampining walls or structures at the edge or around the yard that way the noise is some what isolate or dampened and only loud in the yard
Would you be able to have a heavy piece of equipment that sits along side the train, that contacts the carriage being unloaded so the loud vibrating echoes made form bucket hits are transferred into the ground instead of resonating in the air as much?
Maybe you could plant some trees in the surrounding area so that over time they will grow and provide a natural sound barrier or buy full grown ones and plant them too
I thoroughly enjoy each & every one of your videos I’ve watched. You seem like a stand up businessman & human being. If you were located in New York, I wouldn’t hesitate to retain your services. I apologize for not adding a thumbs up on all the videos I’ve watched, I will make a conscious effort to do so from this point on. Cheers!
Maddy finishes a long hard shift at work goes to jump on his bike and finds a flat tyre! 🤣🤣🤣🤔🤫🤫🤭. Love the work Daniel wer all on your side WE IS SERIOUS!!
Came across Ashville a few weeks ago watched from episode 100 but decided to watch from the beginning and I can confirm Daniel is SERIOUS and is Not Shook
Great work Ashville, been watching every episode! In terms of the noise from the bucket, the trees should provide a lot of sound suppression in the area however if you have any gaps in tree lines around the area you could look at installing some noise fencing/screening if noise complaints continue
There is a feature on iMovie on the iMac that allows to switch from vertical to horizontal film format. It is very smart.I’ve seen you have this problem quite often, but it is an easy fix, without quality drop
Hi Daniel whats the story with the Dog ripping the toy at 16,47 ?? Also maybe Noel does not want his face shown so it is blurred fair enough. But we should give Noel the credit for all his hard work Thank you Noel from Dublin viewer
Noo what I'm going to wait for on Sunday now . you've been doing for so long anyway you can do monthly episode with some bits from everywhere . You can always do another channel "ashville stories" and sometimes post some quick videos. Thanks Daniel for all this episodes every Sunday . All the best 👍
I watch all your videos and enjoy them all. I feel like your hard on your staff. Ye I know it's what's makes them stronger and better but give your guys some credit man. They obviously work hard
Sound travel mostly in a straight line in the air. So the only solution is a air tight wall a wee bit higher then the train. The trees is not air tight so they dont work as well
get the council to conduct a sound test by an independent sound acousticians if the residents are demanding it's "so loud" that will be the true test to what they are complaining about! when we do the working drawings to new build sites where we have either a rail line or a busy road near by, there will be a sound test done with devices left over a period of time to monitor the sounds, obviously for us it's so we can indicate where we need to install special sized glazing panes and/or sound trickle vents.
Rewatching you past Ashville Weekly maybe with the sound of the train maybe on you fence of the train yard area to have wood panels above you fence to try to block the sound (maybe having taller fence)
