Caught some sun shine on my last day in Hakuba, Japan and was able to take a lap out of the backcountry access gate at the top. There is some incredible terrain you can access by foot out of the gate. This is just a taste of some of the mellower terrain this place has to offer. You could score some of the best pow runs of your life up there guaranteed.

A guide wouldn’t hurt. We had some locals to show us the route out. Need to have a car parked at the exit for this one or the walk will be pretty long out. If you have 2 cars you can manage it, but would want to do some route mapping/ make sure you know what the snowpack is doing as there are a lot of terrain traps in the area that can make it quite sketchy

Just switching it up! Ryan finder (editor/filmer) got married and isn’t traveling as much as he used to. Also the webseries was a ton of effort / money and didn’t really get a ton of views so just trying out some different video styles seeing what sticks
