Hard to see in the video but i believe those are F16s from shaw afb, i was stationed out there for 5 years and i still remember the sound lol

Could be. That's probably 200 miles as the crow flies from me. I have only ever seen them going south east which would be that direction and could be a big loop they do. I'm pretty sure they are F16's too.

Military testing is one of the big reasons I moved. Windows aren't safe, and thinking it's cool didn't last long either. Having pictures and things falling off your walls at dinner because a dozen heavy helicopters are doing a low altitude formation over your house isn't conducive to good thoughts.

Haha it’s not that bad. But Tina is not a fan either and probably will never go on the roof.

Great job but a lot of work by yourself.while it may be the worse part yet the end results will be awesome and the pride and satisfaction will last a very long time!!

For one person doing all of that you got a lot accomplished. Sneakers are a good choice for up on the roof. The planes are probably from Arnold AFB

It’s tough trying to work when you’re not feeling well and battling the weather, but the roof is looking good!

My guess is on the planes are from Nashville. Nashville has a large Boeing facility. Or Fort Campbell KY. 101st airborne. Screaming Eagles.

I wondered that. Seemed like a long way but I guess when you’re going that fast, it’s pretty quick.

Great work. Recommendation. They make powered and unpowered lifts that attach to ladders. I dont know how far ahead you record these vids but that would be a solo DIY mega aid.

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t look for one after the first day of doing this lol luckily or not nobody around had one for rent. As of yesterday, it’s all done now.

@@TriStarHomestead yeah but wont you have to do roofing materials too? Gutter work etc. I did construction as a kid and young man from the age of like 6 or 7 until my early 20s and once one of my uncles got that ladder lift, within 1 month they all bought one. They literally drank toasts in Italian to it lol. Keep a watch out for a used one on ebay or something.

For plywood and sheetrock I got a "carrier" to make it easier to get it up and down on a ladder. It was about $10 at WalMart.... just plastic with a hook "end", and a hand holder for the other end.

Man I’m dumb! I literally have the Kreg Panel Carrier still on top of my freezer in the conex I could have used. Never even thought about it.

@@TriStarHomestead If you are a "fan" of Kreg stuff, also get a pocket hole jig.... Great for 2x4 and 2x6 size.

I have multiple lol somewhere in the abyss of the shipping container. Wish I packed things better before we moved but such is life.

@@TriStarHomestead 🤣😂 I also finally got a 4x8 sheet or pegboard, a bunch of plastic hooks, and a "kit" that it has a metal back, and a bunch of small bins (nails, screws, batteries, and all the small stuff I couldn't "find" or "remember"....

It doesn't matter what I'm doing, if I'm outside and a plane, jet, or helicopter is flying over, I'm looking at it. I think most men do the same, at least from my experience. The focus of my "tism" is aircraft and firearms. I appreciate the build videos and I'm enjoying the process. But, its good to see other men get distracted by cool airplanes. LOL.
