From the bottom of my heart, you were born for this. When I close my eyes is like being touched by the breeze of a very kind wind. Some people say it is just sounds coming from strings, but I do believe only a few people can really feel the meaning of those magic sounds. I will play it in my old guitar too. Thank you so, so much. I will be waiting for more of your undoubtedly great work. Have a great day.
I have spent a lifetime on a passion for searching out the most beautiful melodies in the world that can be transcribed for guitar. Hundreds and hundreds of hours. It started decades ago for me with a man by the name of Chet Atkins. This man had the “best ear in Nashville” and CERTAINLY the best ear for melodies. Well, I have to say honestly that since I discovered your very unique channel, you have introduced me to melodies I never knew existed, and you have inspired me beyond words! Thanks a million, and by all means please keep it up!!!
Before watching this video I was blown away by your Kass' s theme and Great Fairy Fountain arrangements. Then, I saw the title of this video and thought "There is no way that anyone can make an arrangement of One Summer's Day and make it sound good on guitar." I have seen so many people attempt this song and nobody ever seemed to capture the essence it has when played in piano. Because of this, I had been frustrated for years. I truly thought that this song was proof that there existed songs that were only meant to be played in piano. However, you've proved me otherwise. I shall now ascend you to the level of god tier in my tier list of amazing guitarrists. Right there with Kotaro Oshio, Sungha Jung, Satoshi Gogo and Ahn Jung Jae. You are from now on one of my favorite guitarrists! I hope to reach you one day somehow! In the meantime, I'll be practicing these amazing three arrangements you've made! Thank you so much for this!
Just a word of advice, these songs are so much easier to play on a CLASSICAL guitar rather than an acoustic. I have learned about 6 songs from Sky Guitar (mostly 3-star, one 4-star) all on my acoustic through a lot of grit and patience. I went to my local guitar center and messed around with some classical guitars. Man, I was much more consistent and faster while playing. The bar chords are incredibly easier, and the separated strings and frets (I know the strings are further apart, not sure about the frets) make the individual notes more accessible, and have less to worry about fitting your fingers into a tight chord or accidentally muting a note with a stray finger. The last thing I noticed is how much easier it was to pluck the bottom two strings. I don't grow my fingernails out on my right hand, so plucking on acoustic can be hard to make crisp sounds, and sometimes my fingers get caught on the strings depending on how dry my hands are. Classical guitar was so much more fluid and efficient to play songs like this on. If you're wondering if YOU should buy a classical guitar... - you can still play these songs on an acoustic guitar (my experience) with good practice - acoustic guitars have more variety to offer in play styles, you don't have to stick with fingerstyle - so if you have the money and have a passion for fingerstyle, I would invest, but it is not necessary - if you are looking to buy your first guitar, I would recommend an acoustic, as you're making a big commitment going with a Classical guitar
You can always buy a cheap 30 to 50 pound classical/nylon string guitar to mess about on, they are a bit naff but defo better that a 30 to 50 pound steal string acoustic
what an incredible tutorial. Thank you for the arrangement -- it truly captures the original more so than other versions I've heard. Definitely learning this one!!!
So far my favorite arrangement, challenging but doable (I can't do artificial harmonics though so just playing the plain notes) and still sounds amazing.
Beautiful arrangement and performance. I only stumbled upon your channel tonight but I am already loving it. Will buy some pdf's when I get onto a computer 👍. I really like the tutorials too.
I learned guitar while watching your videos, I started with merry goes round of life, but your video was so helpful that I managed to play it with no problem. thank you ❤
Beautifully played. I've learned so much from you two pairs of floating hands lol. If I can humbly request you've got a friend in me from toy story. Please never stop making videos. You are the best!!!
Siiiiii.! Cómo le esperaba, por fin.! Muchas gracias hermano. Ahora por favor, podrías hacer sobre.. Cello suite no.2 BVW 1008 Sarabande de Pach? Esa pieza es hermosa.
I was excited to see 3 out of 5 star..then got slightly insecure for the artificial harmonics..but so thrilled to hear the most beautiful thing ever that followed
I find it terrifying that I was litterally looking up tabs for this song YESTERDAY, saw that you had none, got sad and used another source. But the day after I'm looking you post it? I swear you read my mind sometimes.
I look forward to learning this piece. Thank you for sharing your arrangement. May I make a request for the Moonlight Sonata, specifically the version that Eric Henderson plays from the Guitar Salon International channel?
Thank you so much for your wonderful channel and your professional, invaluable tutorials! I have a big request to you: For years i have been searching for an guitar solo arrangement of the "Thornbirds Main Theme" by Henry Mencini. But i can't find any guitar rotes which are able to represent this beautiful piece appropriately. If you could provide us with an arrangement and tutorial that would make me happy. And a lot of other people, too, I think. Thank you!!! 🎶🎸
