One of THE BEST covers of a GREAT original song! BuDaKhel are awesome together and each is separately a world-class act. Kat is world-class by herself. I am SO GLAD that you let the video play out all the way to the end! There are so many reactors who don't let it play out and then they have dumb questions. lol Katrina Velarde INSTANTLY became one of my favorite Vocalists when I heard her for my very first time. She Out-Sang Michael Bolton on one of his own songs! She appeared on the Wish Bus and covered 'Go The Distance', one of the big soundtrack songs from Disney's animated movie Hercules. She BLEW THE ROOF OFF THE BUS! STUNNED EVERYBODY! It was one of those Internet-Breaking moments! I had my Mom watch that video; she doesn't really like 'newer' music very often but she does recognize talent and skill when she sees or hears it. I got her to watch Kat's cover by saying that 'this girl just Out-Boltoned Michael-fricking-Bolton'. Michael Bolton performed 'Go The Distance' MV alongside the movie premier (yes, way-back-when in the 90's). Check that out in a reaction if you want, I think it's likely a good idea to see the Original version first. Michael was always a great vocalist, he did an amazing job...it's just that people from the Philippines keep out-singing EVERYBODY... I also advise checking out another cover of 'Go The Distance' by Regine Velasquez (also known as Asia's Songbird). She is AMAZING on her own. When Katrina covered 'Go The Distance', she sort of 'channeled' Regine Velasquez the same way she 'channeled' Mariah Carey, here. Kat is a vocal chameleon and she has even made some AMAZING videos on her own channel to show off just what she can do. As far as I know, there are four such videos (and they are numbered) in which she EXPERTLY impersonates other singers. I love all of those videos and I hope you will react to each of them! IMO, the best of those four seems to be the Third, where she covered the song 'Burn' by Ellie Goulding. Prepare to me SHOCKED, STUNNED and even to laugh. Kat is great. Katrina has covered 'Never Enough' (she did it before Morissette Amon covered it). If you watch Kat's cover, try counting how many breaths she takes throughout the song; that woman has lungs of IRON. You would pass out if you try to ONLY breathe at the same time as Kat! She made that cover while sitting down in her living room. People thought she was lip-syncing the song when she uploaded that video so she proved them all wrong; two weeks after uploading that, she showed up live on stage at an open-mic night and DID IT AGAIN, LIVE IN FRONT OF AN AUDIENCE so there could be no argument, in order to shut the haters up. Kat LOVES all of our Divas like Whitney, Mariah (obviously), Celine Dion...you get the idea. Well, she also loves to cover Christina Aguilera. In 1999, Christina sang the Soundtrack version of 'Reflection' from the animated movie Mulan. She did it again in 2020 when Mulan Live Action Movie came out. It's an AWESOME re-imagining of the song, it's better than the original version because Christina's skills had improved over the two decades between. Katrina covered that version and OUT SANG Christina! UNBELIEVABLE! YOU HAVE TO SEE IT! When you go to Katrina's YT channel, no matter what video you land on, it's Golden to watch. Kat is a force to be reckoned with. :)
